Nandigram, also known by ancient name Bharatkund, is a village and religious place in Sohawal tehsil in Ayodhya district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, India. Ayodhya Airport , officially named as Maharshi Valmiki International Airport, Ayodhyadham, is an international airport currently handling only domestic flights, serving the cities of Ayodhya and Faizabad in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. The airport is located adjacent to NH-27 and NH-330. The Government of Uttar Pradesh signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Airports Authority of India (AAI) in February 2014 for the development of the airport.
