Nancy Contreras
Nancy Yareli Contreras Reyes (born January 20, 1978, in Ciudad de México, Distrito Federal) is a female track cyclist from Mexico, who represented her native country twice at the Summer Olympics: 1996 and 2004. She won a bronze medal in the 1995 Pan American Games in Mar del Plata, Argentina. Contreras won the 500m time trial gold during the 1998 Central American and Caribbean Games, but failed the doping control with Pseudoephedrine and her medal was removed. Central American And Caribbean Games
The Central American and Caribbean Games (CAC or CACGs) are a multi-sport regional championship event, held quadrennial (once every four years), typically in the middle (even) year between Summer Olympics. The games are for countries in Central America, the Caribbean, Mexico, and the South American Caribbean countries of Colombia, Guyana, Suriname, and Venezuela. UCI Juniors Track World Championships
The UCI Junior Track Cycling World Championships (named the UCI Juniors Track World Championships before 2016) are a set of world championship events for junior riders, for various disciplines and distances in track cycling and are regulated by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI). In the period 2005–2009 the championships were part of the UCI Junior World Championships. Current events include: track time trial, time trial, keirin, individual pursuit, team pursuit, points race, scratch race, sprint (cycling), sprint, team sprint, omnium and, for men only, madison (cycling), madison. Pseudoephedrine (PSE) is a sympathomimetic drug of the phenethylamine and amphetamine chemical classes. It may be used as a nasal/sinus decongestant, as a stimulant, or as a wakefulness-promoting agent in higher doses. Track cycling is a bicycle racing sport usually held on specially built banked tracks or velodromes using purpose-designed track bicycles. History Track cycling has been around since at least 1870. When track cycling was in its infancy, it was held on velodromes similar to the ones used today.
