Nanalal Ninama
Nanalal Ninama (born 1954) is an Indian politician from Rajasthan. He is a member of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly from Ghatol Assembly constituency, which is reserved for Scheduled Tribe community, in Banswara district. He won the 2023 Rajasthan Legislative Assembly election representing the Indian National Congress party. Early life and education Ninama is from Ghatol, Banswara district, Rajasthan. He is the son of Deliya. He studied till Class 9 at the Government Higher Secondary School, Ghatol, and passed the examination in 1971. Later, he discontinued his studies. Career Ninama won from Ghatol Assembly constituency representing the Indian National Congress in the 2023 Rajasthan Legislative Assembly election. He polled 88,335 votes and defeated his nearest rival, Ashok Kumar of the Bharat Adivasi Party, by a margin of 3,691 votes. 2018 Rajasthan Legislative Assembly Election
The Indian National Congress became the single largest party with 100 seats, short of majority by 1 seat. The Bharatiya Janata Party won 73 seats, much lower compared to the previous election in which it won an absolute majority of 163 seats. The Indian National Congress formed the government with the Bahujan Samaj Party. Background The tenure of Rajasthan assembly ended on 20 January 2019. Legislative Assembly elections were held in the Indian state of Rajasthan on 1 December 2013. Results were announced on 8 December. The incumbent ruling party Indian National Congress, led by the Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, lost the elections to Vasundhara Raje-led BJP, who was being touted as the next incumbent. Pre-poll surveys Election Polling was held on 1 December in 199 assembly seats out of 200 seats. Churu constituency polling was postponed to 13 December due to death of BSP candidate Jagdish Meghwal. Ghatal
Ghatal is a city and a municipality in Paschim Medinipur district, West Bengal, India. It is the headquarters of the Ghatal subdivision. History In ancient times, when Tamralipta was an active port, Ghatal had its own ‘Bandar’ (port), 3 km east of Ghatal PS, used for anchoring boats and ships with goods. Now, the place is the confluence of the Dwarakeswar, Shilabati, Damodar and Jhumi. Ghatal was famous for manufacturing of cotton goods, tussar silk, bell metal utensils etc., and the Dutch had a factory here. The activities continued until the early British period.
