Nana Kagga Macpherson
Nana Kagga (also known as Nana Kagga-Hill or Nana Hill or Nana Macpherson) is a Ugandan filmmaker, scriptwriter and actress. She wrote and directed the 2012 film ''The Life'' and was a writer and executive producer of ''Beneath the Lies – The Series''. She has written ''Mukisa'', ''My Sister's Keeper'' with Clive Nshiime, ''Pieces of Me'' and many more. She is the co-owner of Savannah MOON, a production company in Uganda. Life and background Kagga was born in Nairobi, Kenya to Ugandan parents, one an engineer. Kagga is a Muganda and part of the traditional ruling clan of the Baganda tribe, the Bambejja (princesses). Kagga is the third of six children of both her parents. At the time of her birth, her parents were in exile during the regime of President Idi Amin. ''The Life'' is a Ugandan drama feature film created, written and directed by Nana Kagga. The film features Ugandan actors including Gasuza Lwanga, Maureen Nankya, Elvis ‘Vamposs’ Kirya, Tibba Murungi, Susan Nava. M-NET secured film screening rights and the film was shown on its Africa Magic channels. Plot ''The Life'' is about friendship and betrayal. Uganda Film Festival Awards
The Uganda Film Festival Awards, also known as UFF Awards, are presented annually to recognize excellence in the film Industry in Uganda. The awards started in 2013 under a Uganda Communications Commission initiative to recognize and develop the Ugandan film industry. Nominated films are screened at a five-day festival that also runs training, workshops, exhibitions and outreaches. The awarding night marks the helm of the film festival that runs for three days. Gladys Oyenbot is a Ugandan actress, singer and producer professionally known by her mononym Oyenbot. She is known for playing Dorotia on Mpeke Town (2018), and as Beatrice on the award winning drama series Yat Madit Yat Madit (2016). Cleopatra Koheirwe is a Ugandan actress, writer, singer, and media personality. She has garnered numerous roles on different film and television projects locally and internationally.
