Namibia Correctional Service FC is a Namibian football club based in Mariental which currently plays in the Namibia Premiership. It is the football side of the sports club representing the Namibia Correctional Service. History Namibia Correctional Service FC won First Division Southern Stream for the 2023/2024 season, earning promotion to the Namibia Premiership for the first time. The Namibia Premiership, or the Debmarine Namibia Premiership for sponsorship reasons, is the highest level of domestic association football in Namibia. It operates under the auspices of the Namibia Football Association. History After ongoing financial and organizational problems with the Namibia Premier League (NPL), the Namibia Football Association expelled the league and founded a new top-flight league themselves following the 2018–19 season. Despite a planned debut season in 2021, the league finally played its first season in 2022-23 after securing major sponsorship funding. The 2023–24 Namibia Premiership was the 2nd season of the Namibia Premiership, the top-tier football league in Namibia. African Stars won the championship for the second consecutive season. First Division (Namibia)
The First Division is the second-tier association football league in Namibia. It operates under the auspices of the Namibia Football Association. Organization The First Division is divided into the Northern Stream (NSFD) and the Southern Stream (SSFD), each consisting of 13 teams from their respective regions. For some seasons the Northern Stream has been divided into separate North East and North West streams.
