Namami Brahmaputra
Namami Brahmaputra was an international festival that celebrates the beauty of the Brahmaputra river. It is organised by Assam Government. It was the first international river festival to be held in Assam. It was celebrated from 31 March – 4 April 2017. Brahmaputra River
The Brahmaputra is a trans-boundary river which flows through Southwestern China, Northeastern India, and Bangladesh. It is known as Brahmaputra or Luit in Assamese language, Assamese, Yarlung Tsangpo in Lhasa Tibetan, Tibetan, the Siang/Dihang River in Arunachal languages, Arunachali, and Jamuna River (Bangladesh), Jamuna River in Bengali language, Bengali. By itself, it is the 9th List of rivers by discharge, largest river in the world by discharge, and the 15th List of rivers by length, longest. The Government of Assam or Assam Government abbreviated as GoAS, is the Subnational legislature, state government of the Indian state of Assam. Pranab Kumar Mukherjee ( ; born, 11 December 1935 – 31 August 2020) was an Indian statesman who served as the president of India from 2012 until 2017. He was the first person from West Bengal to hold the post of President of India.
