Nala Sinephro
Nala Sinephro (born 1996) is a Caribbean-Belgian experimental jazz musician based in London. She is best known for her ambient jazz compositions, where she predominantly plays the pedal harp, modular synthesiser, keyboards and piano. In 2021, she released her debut studio album, '' Space 1.8'', on Warp Records to widespread critical acclaim. The album placed highly on several music publications' end-of-year lists. Her second studio album, '' Endlessness'', was released in September 2024 to further acclaim, likewise ending up on certain year-end lists of the best albums of 2024. Early life Nala Sinephro spent her childhood in Belgium, growing up on the outskirts of Brussels, near a forest. Black Midi (stylised as black midi) were an English Band (rock and pop), rock band from London, formed in 2017. Their most recent line-up consisted of lead vocalists and multi-instrumentalists Geordie Greep and Cameron Picton, along with drummer Morgan Simpson. Between 2017 and 2020, the band also included guitarist Matt Kwasniewski-Kelvin. Robert Ames (conductor)
Robert Ames (born 8 October 1985) is a British conductor and violist, who holds the positions of co-artistic director and co-principal conductor of the London Contemporary Orchestra Career Born in Kettering, Northamptonshire, he studied at the Royal Academy of Music. While at University, Robert met Hugh Brunt, who together founded the London Contemporary Orchestra in 2008. He was made an Associate of the Royal Academy of Music in 2016. The London Contemporary Orchestra (LCO), founded in 2008 by Hugh Brunt and Robert Ames, is an ensemble of young musicians whose stated aim is "to explore and promote new music to an increasingly wide audience". Early life and education Garcia was born in 1991 in Camden Town, London, the youngest of four siblings, to a Guyanese people, Guyanese mother, a former Civil service, civil servant, and a British Trinidadian Filmmaking, filmmaker father.
