Naked Remedy
Naked Remedy are a British psychedelic blues duo formed in Worcestershire, England. The current line-up consists of Dave Small (Vocals/Drums) and Tom Callinswood (Guitar/Effects). They performed at Forum Live at the LG Arena Birmingham before Paul Weller took to the main stage in November 2010. Background Naked Remedy formed from the ashes of AurA after lead singer Dave Small together with Tom Callinswood with Nav Sahota and Jack Ryland-Smith found themselves playing together regularly at local jam sessions, the four discovered that they could improvise and invent music together for hours. Much of their reputation has been built on the strength and spontaneity of their live show. The West Midlands is one of nine official regions of England at the first level of International Territorial Level for statistical purposes. Hayseed Dixie
Hayseed Dixie is an American band formed in Nashville, Tennessee in 2000. Their first album was ''A Hillbilly Tribute to AC/DC''. The band performs bluegrass cover versions of hard rock songs and also original songs of a mostly satirical or absurdist nature in a self-created musical genre which the band calls "rockgrass." The band's name is a linguistic play on the name of the band AC/DC. Career Hayseed Dixie plays hard rock and bluegrass music on electrified acoustic bluegrass instruments. The band has released 16 studio albums and played over 1,400 live dates in 31 different countries since its inception in 2000. Worcester Music Festival
Worcester Music Festival is an annual music festival held in more than 20 venues throughout the city centre of Worcester, England every September. It was founded in 2008 by Chris Bennion as a platform to encourage live, local and original music in Worcester and the surrounding areas and is staged in pubs, clubs, cafes, community buildings, boats, churches, record shops and street performances around or near the city centre with around 250 performances each year. Recently acts have applied from further afield such as Egypt, Russia, Romania and America, however the organisers look at each application carefully as the festival is first and foremost about promoting emerging artists. Kula Shaker
Kula Shaker are an English psychedelic rock band. Led by frontman Crispian Mills, the band came to prominence during the Post-Britpop era of the late 1990s. The band enjoyed commercial success in the UK between 1996 and 1999, notching up a number of Top 10 hits on the UK Singles Chart, including "Tattva", " Hey Dude", "Govinda", "Hush", and " Sound of Drums". Paul Winterhart
Paul Winter-Hart (born 19 September 1971 in Hammersmith, London) is the drummer for the English band Kula Shaker. He grew up in East Pennard, Somerset, and is noted for being reserved in interviews. In between Kula Shaker splitting in 1999 and reforming in 2006, Winterhart played drums for Thirteen:13, did sessions work with Aqualung and formed blues-rock band "Zero Point Field", who prior to Kula Shaker reforming were working on their debut album. Reef is an English rock band from Glastonbury, England. The band members include Gary Stringer on vocals, Jesse Wood on guitar (replacing original guitarist Kenwyn House in 2014) and Jack Bessant on bass. Career In 1993, Bessant and Stringer were looking for band members while House met Dominic Greensmith (from Barnstaple, Devon), and discussed forming a band. The foursome got together, producing the extremely rare "Purple Tape" demo. After recording several tracks, the band spent much of 1994 touring and building up a fan base. They signed to S2, an offshoot of Sony. Their first single "Good Feeling" was released on an independent label, but financed by Sony, then as an official Sony S2 release in early 1995. This paved the way for "Naked", which was used in a TV advert for the Sony MiniDisc in which a record company executive hears the track on MiniDisc and throws it out of the window disapprovingly.
