Najma Kousri
Najma Kousri ( ar, نجمة العبيدي القوصري, also known as Najma Kousri Labidi; born 1991) is a Tunisian feminist and LGBT-rights activist. Kousri is a co-founder of the #EnaZeda (Tunisian Me Too movement, #MeToo) movement and a co-ordinator of the Tunisian Association of Democratic Women. She is a campaigner for LGBT rights and her photographic project documenting the lives of same-sex couples went viral in 2017. Biography Kousri has a Tunisian degree which licences her to practice law and she studied for a master's degree in Sweden, with a dissertation that focused on digital technology and social change. She says her political activism is a product of her family's struggles against former the authoritarian president Zine El Abidine Ben Ali. Kousri began activism against sexual harassment in Tunisian society while a law student, reporting cases to the police despite their dismissive attitude. Hande Kader
Hande Kader (1993 – August 2016) was a politically active Turkish transgender woman. Kader was familiar to millions of Turks as a figurehead for the LGBT community after being photographed at the forefront of the resistance against police forces suppressing the 2015 Gay Pride event in Istanbul. In August 2016, she was reported missing by her flatmate when she failed to return home the following week. Her body was found raped, mutilated, and burnt by the roadside in the Zekeriyaköy up-market on 12 August 2016. Despite being badly mutilated, Kader's body was identified by prosthetics at the city morgue by Dengiler. Kader was employed in the sex industry as a sex worker, and was last seen getting into a client's car. She was 23 years old at the time of her death. Kasha Jacqueline Nabagesera (also known as Jacqueline Kasha) (born 1980) is a Ugandan LGBT rights activist and the founder and executive director of the LGBT rights organization Freedom & Roam Uganda (FARUG).
