Najdat Anzour
Najdat Ismail Anzour (; born November 26, 1954) is a Syrian television director of Circassian descent. Biography His father Ismail Anzour was the director of ''Taht sama'a Dimashq'' (translates to : ''Under Damascus Skies''), Syria's first silent film, in 1932. Anzour graduated as a mechanical engineer, but credits his father with encouraging him to direct films. Najdat created TV ads (numbering over 1,000), and later went into TV series, then films. On 6 June 2016, Anzour was elected as Deputy Speaker of the Syrian Parliament together with Syria's first female Speaker of parliament, Hadiya Khalaf Abbas, Ph.D., who was elected by the People's Assembly to head the parliament. On 21 July 2017, Najdat was appointed as an interim Speaker of the Syrian parliament. Television series Anzour directed over 20 TV series with a distinctive style. 7 July 2005 London Bombings
The 7 July 2005 London bombings, also referred to as 7/7, were a series of four co-ordinated suicide attacks carried out by Islamist terrorists that targeted commuters travelling on Transport in London, London's public transport during the morning rush hour. Three terrorists separately detonated three homemade bombs in quick succession aboard London Underground trains in Inner London. Later, a fourth terrorist detonated another bomb on a double-decker bus in Tavistock Square. Hatem Ali
Hatem Ali (; 2 June 1962 – 29 December 2020) was a Syrian television and cinema director, writer and actor. Biography Ali was born in Fiq, Golan Heights, then his family was forced to move to Damascus after Israel occupied that region. He graduated from the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts in 1986. He's best known for his work on the TV series '' Al-Taghreba al-Falastenya'', '' Salah Al-deen'', and '' Omar TV series''. Ali gained acceptance in theater arts, and worked as a teacher of Acting in the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts. He also worked on and produced several other Western movies such as ''Peace By Chocolate'', which earned him wider recognition overseas. He died on 29 December 2020, at the age of 58, in Cairo, Egypt, after suffering a heart attack. He was buried in the Bab al-Saghir cemetery in Damascus. Riyadh Compound Bombings
Two major bombings took place in residential compounds in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on 12 May 2003, 39 people were killed, and over 160 wounded (mostly Westerners) when bombs went off at three compounds in Riyadh—Dorrat Al Jadawel, Al Hamra Oasis Village, and the Vinnell Corporation Compound. Mahmoud Darwish (; 13 March 1941 – 9 August 2008) was a Palestinians, Palestinian poet and author who was regarded as Palestine's national poet.
