Nainar Nagendran (born 16 October 1960) is an Indian politician who is the state president of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Tamil Nadu (BJPTN), from 12 April 2025. From 19 May 2001 to 12 May 2006, he served as the Tamil Nadu Council of Ministers, minister of Tamil Nadu in the ministry led by former chief minister of Tamil Nadu, chief ministers of Tamil Nadu J. Jayalalithaa and O. Panneerselvam. He is the current legislative leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly. Tamil Jains (Tamil language, Tamil Samaṇar, from Prakrit ''Śramaṇa, samaṇa'' "wandering renunciate") are ethnic-Tamils from the Indian state of Tamil Nadu, who practice Jainism (Tamil ). The Tamil Jain is a microcommunity of around 85,000 (around 0.13% of the population of Tamil Nadu). The Udayar is a title used by multiple caste in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. Selvaraj Story According to Selva Raj, few Udayar are socially humble than some Vellalar community but, together with the community, that form the Marava castes, who are quite dominant in the region variously known as Ramnad and the Maravar country.
