Nagai Botanical Garden
The is a botanical garden located in the southern part of Nagai Park, Higashisumiyoshi-ku, Osaka, Japan. An admission fee is charged for adults, while middle school students and under are free. It opened in 1974. The garden contains the Osaka Museum of Natural History as well as 1,000 species of trees around a central pond. It also contains an installation created by the art collective TeamLab. Nagai Park
is a large sports complex located in Higashisumiyoshi-ku, Osaka. Its facilities include three multipurpose sports stadiums, including 50,000-seat Nagai Stadium; Nagai Botanical Garden, which has over 1,000 species of trees and flowers; a swimming pool and gymnasium; and a tract of preserved local forest. It also hosts a large number of cherry trees and is a popular area for picnics during cherry blossom (''sakura'') season in early spring. ''Nelumbo'' is a genus of aquatic plants with large, showy flowers. Members are commonly called lotus, though the name is also applied to various other plants and plant groups, including the unrelated genus '' Lotus''. Members outwardly resemble those in the family Nymphaeaceae ("water lilies"), but ''Nelumbo'' is actually very distant from that family. ''Nelumbo'' is an ancient genus, with dozens of species known from fossil remains since the Early Cretaceous. However, there are only two known living species of lotus. Osaka Museum Of Natural History
is a museum of natural history in Higashisumiyoshi-ku, Ōsaka, Japan. History A preparatory committee for the establishment of the museum was set up in 1949, and late the following year the first display opened on the second floor of Osaka City Museum of Fine Arts. Designated a museum-equivalent facility in accordance with the Museum Act in 1952, the opened in a repurposed elementary school in 1958. This predecessor institution closed to the public in 1973. TeamLab is an international art collective, an interdisciplinary group of artists formed in 2001 in Tokyo, Japan. The group consists of artists, programmers, engineers, CG animators, mathematicians and architects who refer to themselves as “ultra-technologists". TeamLab creates artworks using digital technology. Since 2014 TeamLab is represented by Pace Gallery.
