Nadja Purtschert (born 3 September 1989) is a Swiss snowboarder, specializing in halfpipe. Purtschert competed at the 2014 Winter Olympics for Switzerland. In the halfpipe, she finished 23rd in the qualifying round, failing to advance. As of September 2014, her best showing at the World Championships is 15th, in the 2011 halfpipe. Purtschert made her World Cup debut in November 2006. 2010–11 FIS Snowboard World Cup
The 2010–11 FIS Snowboard World Cup was a multi race tournament over a season for snowboarding. The season started on 10 October 2010 and ended on 27 March 2011. The World Cup was organised by the FIS which also run world cups and championships in cross-country skiing, ski jumping, Nordic combined, alpine skiing, and freestyle skiing. The snowboarding world cup consisted of the parallel slalom, snowboard cross and the halfpipe. The men's side of the world cup also consisted of a big air competition. Bardonecchia (; ; , ) is an Italian town and ''comune'' located in the Metropolitan City of Turin, in the Piedmont region, in the western part of Susa Valley. The FIS Snowboard World Cup is an annual snowboarding competition, arranged by the International Ski Federation (FIS) since 1994. Since its inauguration, different disciplines have been added and removed, along with categories used to group them. Currently disciplines contested in the World Cup are parallel giant slalom and parallel slalom (grouped into the "parallel" category); the halfpipe, big air, and slopestyle (grouped into the "AFU" category); and the discipline-category of snowboard cross. Most of these disciplines have been contested on and off throughout the years. The FIS Snowboarding World Championships 2011 was an international snowboarding competition held from January 14 to 22, 2011, in La Molina and Barcelona (Catalonia, Spain) by the FIS Snowboarding World Championship, All the competitions were held in La Molina, except the big air competition, which was held in Barcelona. Organisation Media and marketing The TV broadcast rights were sold to Eurosport in Europe, CBC in Canada, Sky A in Japan, and ORF was given the rights to broadcast in Austria.
