Nadesico
, sometimes referred to as simply , is a Japanese anime television series produced by TV Tokyo, Yomiko Advertising and Xebec and directed by Tatsuo Satō, with manga artist Kia Asamiya providing original character designs, Keiji Gotoh serving as chief animation director, Mika Akitaka being the main mechanical designer and Takayuki Hattori composing the music. A manga adaptation by Asamiya was published by Kadokawa Shoten from 1996 to 1999. The manga, licensed in North America by CPM Manga, has many significant changes from the anime. In 2005, Anime News Network reported that plans for ''Nadesico 2'' were scrapped, citing an entry on ''Stellvia'' director Tatsuo Sato's blog. Plot The series takes place in the year 2196. Gekiganger III
is an anime series within the anime series ''Martian Successor Nadesico'' that plays a critical part in the plot thereof. Gekiganger III was designed to mimic 1970s Super Robots, especially ''Getter Robo''. Initially, only Gai Daigoji and Akito Tenkawa are depicted as enjoying the series. Later in the series, Hikaru Amano becomes the other resident anime fanatic, and towards the end of the series everyone on the ship learns to love the series. Story ''Gekiganger III'' exists only as brief clips within ''Nadesico'', but a basic storyline can nonetheless be determined. As seen in the OVA, the story began with Professor Kokubunji (a character similar to the professors seen in other Super Robot series, such as Professor Saotome of ''Getter Robo'') discovering cave paintings somewhere underground placed by the "Super Paleolithic people". is a Japanese screenwriter. Xebec (studio)
was a Japanese animation studio based in Kokubunji, Tokyo, founded by former Tatsunoko Production animators on May 1, 1995. They have worked on many popular series such as '' Fafner'', ''Martian Successor Nadesico'', '' Love Hina'', ''Shaman King'', ''To Love Ru'', ''Yuuna and the Haunted Hot Springs'', and '' Star Blazers: Space Battleship Yamato 2202''. The company logotype is interesting in that it includes the International Phonetic Alphabet transcription: íːbek not of the Japanese pronunciation, but of a presumed "English" pronunciation. Closure On November 20, 2018, Xebec's parent company, IG Port, sold the studio to Sunrise after constant deficits that the subsidiary had in different years. Toonami ( ) is an American late night television programming block that primarily broadcasts Japanese animation and occasionally American action animation. , best known by the pen name , is a Japanese manga artist whose work spans multiple genres and appeals to diverse audiences. He is well known for using influences from American comics, television, and films in his work, and describes himself as a big fan of Batman and ''Star Wars''. One of the most widely published Japanese manga artist, nearly all of his stories have been translated into other languages, including English. His two most successful and popular manga series to-date are ''Martian Successor Nadesico'' and ''Silent Möbius''. , also known as ''Stellvia of the Universe'', is an anime series set in space. As a prelude to the series, the Earth of year 2167 AD is shown to be devastated by a powerful electromagnetic shockwave. This is caused by a nearby star, Hydrus Beta, 20 light-years away, going supernova. As a result, 3 billion of the 14 billion people on earth were wiped out. The series itself is set 189 years later, in the year 2356 AD. Civilization has been rebuilt with humanity having united together to face the coming of the second shockwave of the supernova. Takayuki Hattori
is a Japanese film, television, video game and non-soundtrack music composer, arranger and conductor. He is the son of the composer Katsuhisa Hattori and grandson of composer Ryoichi Hattori. He has won three Japan Academy Prize awards in the category Outstanding Achievement in Music and was the music director of the Japan Pavilion at the Expo 2010. In recent years, Hattori has worked with popular supergroup JAM Project, serving as orchestral arranger and conductor on two of their albums, ''Victoria Cross'' and ''THUMB RISE AGAIN'', as well as in their live concerts promoting said albums.
