Nader Galal
Nader Galal (; 29 January 1941 – December 2014) was an Egyptian television and film director. He was best known for directing ''El-Irhaby'' ('' The Terrorist'', 1994), ''Salam Ya Sahby'' (''Goodbye my friend''), and the ''Bekhit wa Adila'' series of films. Early life and education Galal was born in January 1941 to an artistic family. His father was the Egyptian director Ahmed Galal and his mother was Mary Queeny, the Lebanese-born Egyptian actress and film producer. He obtained a bachelor's degree in commerce in 1963, and in 1964 graduated from the Higher Institute of Cinema in Cairo with a diploma in film directing. Mary Queeny
Mary Queeny (; 1913–2003) is the stage name of Mary Boutros Younis, was a Lebanese-born Egyptian actress and film producer. Early life Mary Boutros Younis was born in 1913 to a Lebanese Christian family in Lebanon. Her mother's cousin was Asaad Dagher, a writer and journalist at the ''Al-Ahram'' newspaper. Career In 1923 Queeny moved to Cairo with her aunt, actress and film producer Assia Dagher, and started acting in 1929. Her first role was in 1929 in the film '' Ghadat al-sahara'' (''The Desert Beauty''), and she went on to star in all of her aunt's subsequent films. ''The Terrorist'' (, transliterated: Al-Erhabi) is a popular 1994 Egyptian film by Nader Galal and starring Adel Emam, Salah Zulfikar and Madiha Yousri. The film is Salah Zulfikar's last film role and was released posthumously. Plot Brother Ali is an Islamic radical scheming against the government and Egyptian society. The Higher Institute Of Cinema (), also known as the Cairo Higher Institute of Cinema, is a film school in Cairo, Egypt. It is one of several institutes making up the Egyptian Academy of Arts.
