Nadav Kander
Nadav Kander HonFRPS (; born 1961) is a London-based photographer, artist and director, known for his portraiture and landscapes. Kander has produced a number of books and had his work exhibited widely. He received an Honorary Fellowship from the Royal Photographic Society in 2015, and won the Prix Pictet award. Life and work Kander was born in Tel Aviv, Israel. His father flew Boeing 707s for El-Al but lost his eye and was unable to continue flying. His parents decided to start again in South Africa and moved to Johannesburg in 1963. Kander began taking pictures when he was 13 on a Pentax camera, which he bought with his Bar Mitzvah money. He states the pictures that he took then and until he was 17, although unaccomplished, have the same sense of quiet and unease that is part of his work today. Royal Photographic Society
The Royal Photographic Society of Great Britain, commonly known as the Royal Photographic Society (RPS), is the world's oldest photographic society having been in continuous existence since 1853. It was founded in London, England, in 1853 as the Photographic Society of London with the objective of promoting the art and science of photography, and in the same year, received Monarchy of the United Kingdom, royal patronage from then-Queen Victoria and Albert, Prince Consort, Prince Albert. A change to the society's name to reflect the patronage was, however, not considered expedient at the time. In 1874, it was renamed the Photographic Society of Great Britain, and only from 1894 did it become known as the Royal Photographic Society of Great Britain, a title which it continues to use today. The Rencontres d'Arles (formerly called ''Rencontres internationales de la photographie d'Arles'') is an annual summer photography festival founded in 1970 by the Arles photographer Lucien Clergue, the writer Michel Tournier and the historian Jean-Maurice Rouquette. The Rencontres d'Arles has an international reputation for showing material that has never been seen by the public before. Patrick And Beatrice Haggerty Museum Of Art
The Patrick and Beatrice Haggerty Museum of Art, also referred to as the Haggerty Museum of Art or The Haggerty, is an art museum located on the campus of Marquette University in downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The museum opened on November 11, 1984, following a collaborative effort chaired by professor Curtis L. Carter. As of 2025, its collection comprises about 10,000 works, a selection of which is on view on two levels of exhibition spaces totaling 5,246 sq. ft. (487 m2). Somerset House is a large neoclassical architecture, neoclassical building complex situated on the south side of the Strand, London, Strand in central London, overlooking the River Thames, just east of Waterloo Bridge. The Georgian era quadrangle is built on the site of a Tudor period, Tudor palace ("Old Somerset House") originally belonging to the Edward Seymour, 1st Duke of Somerset, Duke of Somerset.
