Nadav Argaman
Nadav Argaman (; born 11 August 1960) is a former director of Shin Bet from 8 May 2016 to 13 October 2021. He previously served as deputy head of Shin Bet, Operations Division chief, and the Shin Bet representative in the United States. He was appointed by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on 11 February 2016 and assumed office in May 2016. Biography Argaman was born to Israeli Jewish parents Amiram and Tikva in Ramat HaSharon, and was raised, from the age of two, in kibbutz Hamadia. He joined the Army in 1978 and volunteered to serve in the IDF's Special Forces unit Sayeret Matkal, and later on moved to another special unit. In 1983, he joined the Shin Bet and served in various command and staff posts. Shin Bet
The Israel Security Agency (ISA; , (GSS); ), better known by the Hebrew acronyms, acronyms Shabak (; ; ) or Shin Bet (from the abbreviation of , "Security Service"), is Israel's internal Security agency, security service. Yoram Cohen
Yoram Cohen (; born 1960) is a retired State of Israel, Israeli intelligence officer who served as the Director of Shin Bet, from May 15, 2011 until May 8, 2016, when he was replaced by Nadav Argaman. Biography Cohen was born in Israel to Moshe and Leah Cohen, Jewish immigrants from Afghanistan. He grew up in Tel Aviv and graduated from a religious high school in Pardes Hanna-Karkur. He was drafted into the IDF in 1979, and did his military service in the Golani Brigade. He served as a soldier and a squad leader in the brigade's reconnaissance company. In 1982, after finishing his compulsory service in the IDF, he started working at Shin Bet; his first post was security officer for the field coordinators. Rosh HaAyin
Rosh HaAyin (; ) is a city in the Central District of Israel. It is located in the eastern ravine of the Sharon River, opposite the Samaria Mountains. Ronen Bar
Ronen Bar (; born 25 December 1965) is an Israeli intelligence officer and the director of the Israeli Security Agency (commonly referred to as Shin Bet, Shabak, or ISA) since 13 October 2021. He replaced Nadav Argaman, after having served as his deputy since 2018. Bar was appointed by Prime Minister Naftali Bennett and his nomination was approved by Israel's cabinet on 11 October 2021. National Security College (Israel)
The National Security College (, variously abbreviated as MBL, MABL, MBAL, MABAL), also translated as the National Defense College, is a military education institution in Israel intended to provide education on the foundations of national security at an academic level in political and social issues. The college is intended for senior members of the all branches of the Israeli security forces.
