Na Tan District
Na Tan (, ) is a district (''amphoe'') in the northeastern part of Ubon Ratchathani province, northeastern Thailand. History Na Tan area was separated from Khemarat district to create a minor district (''king amphoe'') on 30 April 1994. On 15 May 2007, all 81 minor districts were upgraded to full districts. On 24 August the upgrade became official. 6th Thai-Lao Friendship Bridge In 2023 and 2024, Laos and Thailand began talks to improve connections between the two countries. In February 2024, they began talks to upgrade the checkpoint connecting Ban Paek Saeng, Na Tan with Ban Pak Saphan, Salavan province, Laos into a permanent gateway. Before the COVID-19 pandemic, the checkpoint's trade volume was more than ฿2.8 billion. Thesaban
Thesaban (, , , Pali: desapāla (protector of region) are the municipalities of Thailand. There are three levels of municipalities: city, town, and sub-district. Bangkok and Pattaya are special municipal entities not included in the ''thesaban'' system. The municipalities assume some of the responsibilities which are assigned to the districts (''amphoe'') or subdistricts (''tambon'') for non-municipal (rural) areas. Muban
Muban (; , ) is the lowest Administrative divisions of Thailand, administrative sub-division of Thailand. Usually translated as 'village' and sometimes as 'hamlet (place), hamlet', they are a subdivision of a tambon (subdistrict). , there were 74,944 administrative mubans in Thailand. As of the 1990 census, the average village consisted of 144 households or 746 persons. Mekong River
The Mekong or Mekong River ( , ) is a transboundary river in East Asia and Southeast Asia. Khemarat District
Khemarat () is the northernmost district (''amphoe'') of Ubon Ratchathani province, northeastern Thailand. History ''Mueang'' Khemarat is an ancient city. It was a first class city in the Rattanakosin Kingdom and reported directly to Bangkok. During the ''Thesaphiban'' reforms at the beginning of the 20th century it became subordinate to Ubon Ratchathani. A high school there is named Khemmarat Pittyakom School which is well run. Pho Sai District
Pho Sai (, ) is a district (''amphoe'') in the northeastern part of Ubon Ratchathani province, northeastern Thailand. History A group of people from Khemarat district moved to Ban Klang and Ban Nong Khun in 1820. They named their new town Ban Pho Sai. The minor district (''king amphoe'') was created on 5 May 1981, when the three ''tambons'' Pho Sai, Muang Yai, and Samrong were split off from Khemarat District. It was upgraded to a full district on 12 August 1987. Etymology Pho and sai trees are kinds of ''Ficus'' species that grow in ''Wat'' Si Bunrueang.
