NXT Battleground (2025)
The 2025 Battleground, also promoted as Battleground: Tampa, was a professional wrestling livestreaming event produced by WWE. It was the third annual Battleground held for the promotion's developmental brand NXT, and the eighth Battleground overall. The event took place during Memorial Day weekend on Sunday, May 25, 2025, at the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida. This was the first Battleground to air on Netflix in most international markets and it was the first NXT livestreaming event to take place in Tampa. As with the 2023 edition, the event went head-to-head against All Elite Wrestling's Double or Nothing pay-per-view event. Six matches were contested at the event. Malachi Jeffers (born April 28, 2004) is an American professional wrestler. He is signed to WWE, where he performs under the ring name Je'Von Evans on the NXT brand. He was previously known under the ring name Jay Malachi on the independent circuit. David Bostian III (born May 25, 1999) is an American professional wrestler signed to WWE, where he performs under the ring name Myles Borne on the NXT brand. He is the only partially deaf wrestler to be employed by WWE. Early life Bostian was born in Wilmington, North Carolina with Persistent Pulmonary Hypertension of the Newborn. It is a treatable condition but one of the major side effects of the treatment is loss of hearing, resulting in Bostian being deaf. Bostian received hearing aids and would use an FM system while he was in school, allowing him to focus clearly on one person and read lips. No Quarter Catch Crew (NQCC) is an American professional wrestling stable that performs in WWE on the NXT brand. The group currently consists of Charlie Dempsey, Tavion Heights, and Wren Sinclair. The TNA World Championship is a professional wrestling world championship created and promoted by Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA). It is the promotion's principal championship. The 2025 Double or Nothing was a professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by All Elite Wrestling (AEW). It was the seventh annual Double or Nothing event and took place during Memorial Day weekend on May 25, 2025, at the Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona. With the exceptions of the 2020 and 2021 events, which took place at Daily's Place in Jacksonville, Florida due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this was the first Double or Nothing to take place outside of the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada.
