NUAMES
The Northern Utah Academy for Math Engineering and Science (NUAMES) is a public charter high school for students in grades 10-12. The school started to provide an educational experience that prepares high school students for an early transition into a university baccalaureate program in fields related to math, science and engineering. Students who have attended NUAMES for a full year and meet Weber State's admission requirements receive a scholarship to attend the university while they are also completing their high school diploma. Many students earn their associate degrees by the time they graduate. The NUAMES campus is on the Weber State University Davis campus in Layton, Utah. Weber School District () is a public school district located in Weber County, Utah, United States. The district covers all of Weber County, except the city of Ogden (which has its own district). History The district's origins reach as far back as 1849, when Charilla Abbott became the first school teacher at Brown's Fort. During the next half century, the school district grew from that one-room log cabin into what it is today. Weber State University (pronounced ) is a public university in Ogden, Utah. It was founded in 1889 as Weber Stake Academy. It is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities.
