NTCIP Framework
The National Transportation Communications for Intelligent Transportation System Protocol (NTCIP) is a family of standards designed to achieve interoperability and interchangeability between computers and electronic traffic control equipment from different manufacturers. NTCIP has been around for over 20 years, but is increasingly in use in smart city initiatives and by suppliers of technology. Interoperability is a characteristic of a product or system to work with other products or systems. Internet Engineering Task Force
The Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) is a standards organization for the Internet standard, Internet and is responsible for the technical standards that make up the Internet protocol suite (TCP/IP).
