NS Class 2900 (Sprinter)
The Stadsgewestelijk Materieel or SGM () was an electric multiple unit (EMU) train type that was operated by the Dutch railway company Nederlandse Spoorwegen. They were built from 1975 to 1983 by Talbot and retired from service between 2018 and 2021. The SGM trains had fast acceleration as distances between stations were short, so they needed to be able to speed up and brake quickly. Deventer Railway Station
Deventer is a railway station in Deventer, Netherlands. The station was opened on 5 August 1865 and is on the Apeldoorn–Deventer railway, Deventer–Almelo railway and the Arnhem–Leeuwarden railway. The train services are operated by Nederlandse Spoorwegen. History In 1860 the state decided to connect the largest towns and cities in the Netherlands with each other. The railway between Arnhem, Zutphen, Deventer, Zwolle, Heerenveen and Leeuwarden was known as Arnhem–Leeuwarden railway, State railway A. NS Mat '64
The NS Mat '64 or Materieel '64 were electric multiple units (EMU) built by Werkspoor and later by Duewag and Waggonfabrik Talbot between 1961 and 1976. They were operated in the Netherlands by the Nederlandse Spoorwegen (NS) until 2016. The equipment consisted of independent four and two-car train sets called Plan T and Plan V: the Plan T is a 4-car EMU, and the Plan V is a 2-car EMU. Materieel '64 is sometimes nicknamed 'Apekoppen' (literal translation: 'monkey heads') and 'Standaard Stoptrein' ('Standard stopping train') due to their distinct shape. Plan V was the largest series of Nederlandse Spoorwegen rolling stock for many years, with 246 units (although only 245 were present at the same time) already built until it was supplanted by NS VIRM. The Hofpleinlijn ''(Spoorlijn Rotterdam Hofplein - Scheveningen)'' was one of the two railways between the Dutch cities of The Hague and Rotterdam.
