The University of New England (UNE) is a public university in New South Wales, Australia. Founded in 1938, it was the first Australian university to be established outside of a state capital. Robert John Debus (born 16 September 1943) is a former Australian politician who served as a member of the Australian House of Representatives and the New South Wales Legislative Assembly, representing the Labor Party. Debus has been a minister in both the Australian and New South Wales governments. HMS ''Investigator'' was built as the mercantile ''Fram'' (not to be confused with the Norwegian polar exploration vessel, Fram) and launched in 1795. Purchased in 1798 by the Royal Navy she was renamed HMS ''Xenophon'', and then in 1801 converted to a survey ship under the name HMS ''Investigator''. In 1802, under the command of Matthew Flinders, she was the first ship to circumnavigate Australia. The Navy sold her in 1810 and she returned to mercantile service under the name ''Xenophon''.
