The National Science and Technology Council (NSTC; ) is a statutory agency of Executive Yuan of the Republic of China (Taiwan) for the promotion and funding of academic research, development of science and technology and science parks. NSTC is a member of Belmont Forum. History The NSTC was originally established as the National Council on Science Development on 1 February 1959. In 1967, it was renamed to National Science Council (NSC; ). The NSC became the Ministry of Science and Technology on 3 February 2014. National Science Talent Contest or NSTC is an extension of the National Physics Talent Contest launched by PIEAS in 1995 on the directive of the then President of Pakistan. National Sports Training Center
The National Sports Training Center (NSTC; ) is a sport center in Zuoying District, Kaohsiung, Taiwan. It is the dedicated sport center for training athletes that are representing Taiwan in international sporting events. History The sport center was originally established in November 1976 as Zuoying Training Center to train athletes that participated for the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The site was originally a camp operated by the Republic of China Marine Corps 99th Marine Brigade. In December 2000, the sport center was renamed to National Sports Training Center. It is designed to coordinate science and technology policy across the branches of federal government. History The National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) was established by President Bill Clinton through Executive Orderbr>12881on November 23, 1993. Each presidential administration has utilized the NSTC in varying ways. The Nova Scotia Teachers College (NSTC) was a normal school located in the Canadian town of Truro, Nova Scotia. History The Nova Scotia Teachers College was founded as the Provincial Normal School by an act of the Nova Scotia House of Assembly, which received royal assent on March 31, 1854. At its official opening on the "civic square" bordering Prince Street, Forrester Street, Victoria Street, and Young Street, immediately northwest of Truro's downtown core on November 14, 1855, its first principal, Alexander Forrester, described the normal school's objective to be "the training or the qualifying of Teachers for the better and more efficient discharge of the duties of their important office."
