NRK News (in Norwegian: NRK Nyheter) is the NRK, Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation's news organisation. It produces news around the clock for radio and television in Norwegian language, Norwegian and Sami language, Sami. There are two main newsrooms, one for radio (''NRK Dagsnytt'') and one for television (''NRK Dagsrevyen''); both are headquartered in the Norwegian capital Oslo. NRK also produces local news bulletins at List of NRK regional services, newsrooms around the country. Internationally, NRK correspondents are based in Washington, D.C., Nairobi, Beijing, London, Moscow, Brussels, Berlin and Istanbul. ''Urix'', produced by NRK News, is a television program that specializes in international news. Dagsrevyen
''Dagsrevyen'' (English: ''The Daily Review'') is the daily evening news programme for the Norwegian television channel NRK1, the main channel of the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (NRK), broadcast at 7 pm. In 2007, the programme started airing simultaneously on NRK's dedicated news channel NRK2, but this arrangement ended that same year. Dagsrevyen's first newscast was broadcast in 1958 and it has kept its name since. It is Norway's most viewed programme, with daily ratings of around one million. Around 200 people are involved in its production, with headquarters at Marienlyst in Oslo. Dagsrevyen aims at fewer, but longer and more extensive stories than its competitors. NRK hosts a tight network of domestic journalists in addition to international correspondence offices, though NRK also uses footage acquired through the European Broadcasting Union. The Norwegian Meteorological Institute (), also known internationally as MET Norway, is Norway's national meteorological institute. It provides weather forecasts for civilian and military uses and conducts research in meteorology, oceanography and climatology. NRK Nyheter (radio Station)
NRK Nyheter () is a Norwegian all-news radio channel operated by the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (NRK). It was launched on 14 April 1997 (as ''NRK Alltid nyheter'') as part of an effort to attract listeners to DAB digital radio, and was the world's first all-digital news channel. At the end of August 2018, ''NRK Alltid nyheter'' had a weekly reach of 82,000 listeners (an audience share of 1.8%). In 2021, the station was renamed ''NRK Nyheter''. List Of NRK Regional Services
For the purpose of regional broadcasting on NRK, Norway is divided into 11 districts. 10 of these districts follow county boundaries and provide services in the Norwegian language, while one overlaps the other districts and provides services in the Sami languages. Each district includes one district office along with several subordinate local offices. Regional broadcasting output generally comes from the district offices, though some of the local offices contain newsrooms and production facilities able to supplement output from the district office or produce separate programming altogether. Oslo ( or ; ) is the capital and most populous city of Norway. It constitutes both a county and a municipality. Norwegian Language
Norwegian ( ) is a North Germanic language from the Indo-European language family spoken mainly in Norway, where it is an official language. Along with Swedish and Danish, Norwegian forms a dialect continuum of more or less mutually intelligible local and regional varieties; some Norwegian and Swedish dialects, in particular, are very close.
