Mid-Plains Community College
Mid-Plains Community College (MPCC) is a public community college in southwest Nebraska with seven campuses: one in McCook, two in North Platte, and four community campuses in Broken Bow, Imperial, Ogallala and Valentine. The college was established by the Nebraska Legislature in 1973. It was created by a merger of McCook Junior College, North Platte Junior College, and Mid-Plains Vocational Technical School in North Platte. McCook Junior College, founded in 1926, was the oldest two-year institution in Nebraska at the time of the merger. Torrington, Wyoming
Torrington is a city in and the county seat of Goshen County, Wyoming, United States. The population was 6,119 at the 2020 census, down from 6,501 at the 2010 census. It is the home of Eastern Wyoming College, and is the surrounding region's center of commercial activity. Within this primarily agricultural community, there are several fertilizer plants, a former sugar beet factory which closed in 2019, and numerous tourist facilities and retail businesses that serve the local and nearby rural populations. Riverton, Wyoming
Riverton is a city in Fremont County, Wyoming, United States. The city's population was 10,682 at the 2020 census, making it the most populous city in the county. History The city, founded in 1906, is an incorporated entity of the state of Wyoming. The community was named Riverton because of the four rivers that meet there. The town was built on land ceded from the Wind River Indian Reservation, a situation that often makes it subject to jurisdictional claims by the nearby Eastern Shoshone and Northern Arapaho tribes. A legal ruling on November 7, 2017, by the 10th Circuit Court, ruled again in the EPA reservation boundary dispute. Though the decision was complex, the 10th Circuit Court answered plainly. Central Wyoming College
Central Wyoming College (CWC or CW) is a public community college in Riverton, Wyoming. In addition to its main campus, the college provides online classes and has outreach centers in Jackson, Lander, Dubois, and the Wind River Indian Reservation. Central Wyoming College is best known for its associate degree nursing program. Additionally, it owns Wyoming's only public television network, Wyoming PBS, as well as a student-operated FM radio station, KCWC-FM. Established in 1945 as Wyoming's first junior college and initially located on the third floor of Natrona County High School, Casper College moved to its current site 10 years later. Scottsbluff is a city in Scotts Bluff County, Nebraska, United States, in the Great Plains region. The population was 14,436 at the 2020 census.
