NASCAR Racing Network
NASCAR Racing Network (NRN) is an American radio network that syndicates broadcasts of NASCAR auto racing events. NRN was founded in 2025 when Motor Racing Network and Performance Racing Network, the two radio networks to broadcast NASCAR races, teamed up to broadcast the entire NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series schedule collaboratively. The joint radio network's first broadcast will be the 2025 Fr8 208 at Atlanta Motor Speedway. There are two types of radio network currently in use around the world: the one-to-many ( simplex communication) broadcast network commonly used for public information and mass-media entertainment, and the two-way radio ( duplex communication) type used more commonly for public safety and public services such as police, fire, taxicabs, and delivery services. Motor Racing Network (MRN) is a U.S. radio network that syndicates broadcasts of auto racing events, particularly NASCAR. MRN was founded in 1970 by NASCAR founder Bill France, Sr. and broadcaster Ken Squier, and is a wholly owned subsidiary of NASCAR. Its first broadcast was the 1970 Daytona 500. MRN is one of the two main radio broadcasters of the NASCAR Cup Series and Xfinity Series, covering events held at tracks owned by NASCAR, along with Pocono Raceway. It also broadcasts the NASCAR All-Star Race, and the entire Truck Series season (although clearance of Xfinity and Truck Series events may vary by station). Performance Racing Network
The Performance Racing Network (PRN) is a radio syndication network controlled by Speedway Motorsports (SMI) founded in 1981. PRN airs NASCAR Cup Series and Xfinity Series events held at Speedway Motorsports and Penske Corporation-owned and managed tracks. PRN first began airing the NASCAR events at Charlotte Motor Speedway (Coca-Cola 600, the fall race, but not the NASCAR All-Star Race). After SMI acquired additional tracks, the network began airing the events at Atlanta, Austin (managed by SMI for the NASCAR event), Bristol, Dover, Kentucky, Las Vegas, Nashville, New Hampshire, Sonoma and Texas tracks as well. The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series is a pickup truck racing series owned and operated by the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing, and is the only series in NASCAR to race production pickup truck based stock cars. The series is one of three national divisions of NASCAR, ranking as the third tier behind the second-tier NASCAR Xfinity Series and the top level NASCAR Cup Series. The 2025 Fr8 208 was the 2nd stock car race of the 2025 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, and the 17th iteration of the event. The race was held on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Atlanta Motor Speedway in Hampton, Georgia, a permanent asphalt quad-oval shaped intermediate speedway (with superspeedway rules). The race took the scheduled 135 laps to complete. Kyle Busch, driving for Spire Motorsports, would hold off Stewart Friesen in a close finish, and ultimately put on a dominating performance, winning the second stage and leading a race-high 80 laps to earn his 67th NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series win, and his first of the season. Atlanta Motor Speedway
Atlanta Motor Speedway (formerly known Atlanta International Raceway from 1960 to 1990) is a 1.54-mile entertainment facility in Hampton, Georgia, United States, 20 miles (32 km) south of Atlanta. It has annually hosted NASCAR Cup Series stock car races since its inauguration in 1960. The venue was bought by Speedway Motorsports in 1990. In 1994, 46 condominium (housing), condominiums were built over the northeastern side of the track. The NASCAR Cup Series is the top racing series of the NASCAR, National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR). The NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) is a stock car racing series organized by NASCAR. It is promoted as NASCAR's second-tier circuit to the organization's top level Cup Series.
