N93 (Netherlands)
National Road 93 () or simply N93, was a highway route in the Netherlands from 1957 through 1985. It formed part of the Dutch National highway network and connected Tilburg ( E312) with Emmeloord ( N91). A stretch of road between Tilburg and the Belgian border was also part of the initial route. In 1957, road numbering was introduced in the Netherlands and the Rijkswegenplan foresaw in an increasing number of highways, together forming a nationwide system. Along with the pan-European E-road network, which designated routes of international importance, a series of N-roads was devised to designate those routes not included in the European system, but considered of national importance. In 1985 the second generation of E-road numbering was implemented, leading to an update of the National Road network as well. With the N91 now heading south to Almere and Utrecht, the N93 was extended northwards. The section leading to the border with Belgium was abandoned and subsequently downgraded. ... Kamperveen
Kamperveen is a village in the Dutch province of Overijssel. It is located in the municipality of Kampen, about 5 km south of the city. Kamperveen was a separate municipality until 1937, when it became a part of IJsselmuiden. History It was first mentioned in 1236 as "in Veno prope Campen", meaning "the bog of Kampen", and was originally a peat colony. Kamperveen is a confusing village, because it is a merger of the hamlets De Heuvels, De Roskam, De Zande, Hogeweg, Posthoorn and Zuideinde, therefore, it does not have a clear centre. There are directional signs to Kamperveen, however each hamlet is marked with its own name. Elst, Overbetuwe
Elst is a town in the municipality of Overbetuwe in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It is situated in the Betuwe, between the cities of Arnhem and Nijmegen. Elst has 21,447 inhabitants. Elst is known for its Roman temples, which are situated under the Saint Werenfried church. Elst was a separate municipality until 2001, when it became a part of Overbetuwe. H. J. Elden, Netherlands
Elden is a village in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It is located in the municipality of Arnhem, about 4 km southwest of the city centre. Elden was a separate municipality between 1813 and 1818, when it was merged with Elst. It became part of Arnhem in 1966. The village of Elden, on the south side of the Rhine, has now been completely surrounded by neighbourhoods of the city of Arnhem and is now an enclave. The village still has its own place name signs. History The village was first mentioned in 855 as Elti. The etymology is unknown. The Saint Boniface dates from the 14th century. Elden was home to 791 people in 1840. Huissen () is a city with city rights in the Netherlands, in the province of Gelderland. The town is located in the Betuwe region and belongs to the municipality of Lingewaard, in the area between the major cities of Arnhem and Nijmegen. Huissen is situated along the rivers Nederrijn and Linge. The city has a population of 19,414 (as of 1 January 2020). History Huissen was first mentioned in 814 as ''Hosenheim''. Beekbergen
Beekbergen (; nds, Bekbargen or ''Beekbargen'') is a village and former municipality in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It is located in the municipality of Apeldoorn on the edge of the Veluwe. The rural area on the southwestern side of the village is dominated by forests and the rural area on the northeastern side by agricultural land. A hamlet called Engeland is situated inside the rural area that is part of Beekbergen, as well as several holiday villages, campsites and hotels. The village also houses a number of retirement homes and a homeless shelter, called "Het Hoogeland". Apeldoorn (; Dutch Low Saxon: ) is a municipality and city in the province of Gelderland in the centre of the Netherlands. It is located about 60 km east of Utrecht, 60 km west of Enschede, 25 km north of Arnhem and 35 km south of Zwolle. Vaassen (; Low German: ''Vaossen'') is one of four villages in the Dutch municipality of Epe. Vaassen is situated between Apeldoorn and Zwolle, on the eastern edge of the Veluwe in the province of Gelderland. Vaassen was an independent municipality up to 1 January 1818, when it merged with Epe. History The earliest signs of residents in this area are the burial mounds and "Celtic Fields" (square fields surrounded by small earthen walls, dating from the Iron Age) northwest of Vaassen in the Veluwe, between the Elburgerweg and Gortelseweg. Epe () is a municipality and a town in the eastern Netherlands. The municipality has a population of 32,191 (2015, source: CBS), and the town itself has a population of 15,552. The town hall stands in Epe, which is situated about north of Apeldoorn and south of Zwolle. Another important town within the municipality is Vaassen (12,739 inhabitants), halfway between Epe and Apeldoorn.
