N. Dutta
Datta Naik (12 December 1927 – 30 December 1987), also credited as N. Datta, was an Indian film music director in Hindi, Hindi films. Early life and career Born in the then Portuguese India, Portuguese colony of Goa, Naik, started his career as an assistant to the legendary music director S. D. Burman in films like ''Bahar (film), Bahar, Sazaa (1951 film), Sazaa, Ek Nazar'' (1951), ''Jaal (1952 film), Jaal'' (1952), ''Jeewan Jyoti (1953 film), Jeewan Jyoti'' (1953) and ''Angarey (1954 film), Angarey'' (1954). His partnership with songwriter Sahir Ludhianvi was popular and successful. He died on 30 December 1987. Datta Naik was born in 1927 in Aroba (near Colvale), a small village in Goa. Jan Nisar Akhtar
Jan Nisar Akhtar (18 February 1914 – 19 August 1976) was an Indian poet of Urdu ghazals and nazms, and a part of the Progressive Writers' Movement, who was also a lyricist for Bollywood. He was the son of Muztar Khairabadi and great grandson of Fazl-e-Haq Khairabadi, who were both Urdu poets. His career spanned four decades during which he worked with music composers including C. Ramchandra, O.P. Nayyar, Datta Naik also credited as N. Datta and Khayyam and wrote 151 songs. Notable among them were songs from his breakthrough film, A.R. ''Marine Drive'' is a 1955 Indian Hindi-language film, starring Ajit, Bina Rai in lead roles. The film deals with the smuggling business and underworld crime. It was the first film that G. P. Sippy released under his production house Sippy Films. ''Milap'' () is a 1955 Indian Hindi-language comedy drama film directed by Raj Khosla. The film featured Dev Anand and Geeta Bali in the lead roles. Plot Rajendra Sayal becomes a millionaire from a poverty-stricken situation with the help of his friend Kalu. Jealous of his sudden elevation in status, a lawyer named Karamchand plots to rob Sayal of all his property. For this reason, he hires Asha to seduce Sayal and make him fall in love with her, but she ends up falling for him. He too reciprocates her feelings, and discovers Karamchand's nefarious schemes. Sahir Ludhiyanvi
Abdul Hayee (8 March 1921 – 25 October 1980), popularly known by his pen name (takhallus) Sahir Ludhianvi, was an Indian poet who wrote primarily in Urdu in addition to Hindi. He is regarded as one of the greatest film lyricists and poets of 20th century India. His work influenced Indian cinema, in particular Hindi language films. Sahir won a Filmfare Award for Best Lyricist for ''Taj Mahal'' (1963). He won a second Filmfare Award for Best Lyricist for his work in ''Kabhie Kabhie'' (1976). He was awarded the Padma Shri in 1971. On 8 March 2013, the ninety-second anniversary of Sahir's birth, a commemorative stamp was issued in his honor by India Post. Geeta Dutt (born Geeta Ghosh Roy Chowdhuri; 23 November 1930 – 20 July 1972) was an Indian Indian classical music, classical and playback singer. ''Dharmputra'' is a 1961 Hindi film directed by Yash Chopra based on a novel of the same name by Acharya Chatursen. This is Yash's second directorial venture.
