N. C. Sippy
N. C. Sippy (22 August 1926 25 November 2001) was an Indian film producer and director who originally worked as a production manager, executive producer and presenter during his initial career span. He later worked as a producer and Bollywood film director in several Hindi films in the cinema of India. Sippy is known for his prominent films such as ''Gol Maal'', '' Satte Pe Satta'', ''Chupke Chupke'', ''Anand'', '' Khubsoorat'', '' Guddi'', '' Aashirwad'', ''Padosan'' and other Hindi-language movies most of which were directed by Hrishikesh Mukherji. Early life N. C. Sippy was born in Karachi, British India and later in 1946, he moved to Bombay (now Mumbai) where an Indian comedian-actor named Gope helped him in his career development. ''Khubsoorat'' (transl. Beautiful) is a 1980 Indian Hindi-language comedy-drama film, directed and produced by Hrishikesh Mukherjee, co-produced by N. C. Sippy with dialogues written by Gulzar. The movie stars Ashok Kumar, Rekha, Rakesh Roshan, Dina Pathak in lead roles. The movie received critical acclaim and was a box-office success. The movie was remade in Telugu as Swargam in 1981 and Tamil as Lakshmi Vandhachu and in Malayalam as Vannu Kandu Keezhadakki. ''Bawarchi'' (translation: ''The Chef'') is a 1972 Indian Hindi musical comedy-drama film directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee starring Rajesh Khanna and Jaya Badhuri with Asrani, A.K. Hangal, Usha Kiran and Durga Khote in supporting roles. This was a remake of Rabi Ghosh starrer Bengali film ''Galpo Holeo Satti'' (1966) by Tapan Sinha. ''Mili'' is a 1975 Indian Hindi-language romantic drama film directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee. It starred Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan and Ashok Kumar in lead roles. Gope (actor)
Gope (11 April 1913–1957) was an Indian actor of Hindi cinema. Starting his career with a small role in ''Insaan Ya Shaitaan'' (1933), directed by Moti Gidwani and produced by Eastern Arts Production, Gope went on to act in over one hundred forty films in a career spanning twenty-four years from 1933 to 1957. Several of his films were released following his death. Best known for his comedy roles, he is stated to be one of Hindi cinema's "most popular comedians".
