N-50 National Highway
The National Highway 50 () or the N-50 is one of Pakistan National Highway running from city of D.I.Khan in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to the town of Kuchlak near Quetta via Zhob in Baluchistan, Pakistan. Its total length is 531 km divided into 143 km in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the remaining 388 km in the Baluchistan, Pakistan. It is maintained and operated by Pakistan's National Highway Authority. On 30 Jan 2014, Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif inaugurated the Qila Saifullah to Zhob part of the highway. Kuchlak (), also Kuchlagh (), sometimes mistakenly referred to as Kachlak, is a town near Quetta, in the province of Balochistan, Pakistan. It is governed by a union council in Chiltan Town, Quetta. Kuchlak is home to Halaqa Number 61, one of the largest halaqas in Quetta. Kuchlak is well known for summer fruits such as apples and peaches; however, soil aridity is a problem. The National Highway Authority (NHA; ) is a statutory body under the Ministry of Communications (Pakistan), Ministry of Communications of Pakistan. Quetta is the capital and largest city of the Pakistani province of Balochistan. It is the ninth largest city in Pakistan, with an estimated population of over 1.6 million in 2024. Zhob
Zhob (; ), formerly known as Fort Sandeman is a city and district headquarters of the Zhob District in the Balochistan province of Pakistan. Zhob is located on the banks of the Zhob river. It lies 337 kilometres away from Quetta, the capital of Balochistan. During the British colonial era, it was named Fort Sandeman after the British Indian Army officer Robert Groves Sandeman. It obtained its current name in 1976 when the then Prime Minister of Pakistan Zulfikar Ali Bhutto changed its name. Balochistan (; ; , ) is a province of Pakistan. Located in the southwestern region of the country, Balochistan is the largest province of Pakistan by land area but is the least populated one.
