Mūkupurvs
Mūkupurvs is a neighborhood of the city of Riga, the capital city of Latvia and in Pārdaugava, a suburb of Zemgale. Mūkupurva neighborhood is located in the R part of Riga. It borders Beberbekai, Zolitūde and Pleskodāle neighborhoods, as well as Mārupe parish of Mārupe county, which is adjacent to the D part of Mūkupurva neighborhood. The boundaries of the Mūkupurva neighborhood are a line parallel to Beberbeķu line 5, Krotes iela, a line along the residential massif, the city boundary (Babītes iela, Kalnciema iela) and Kārļa Ulmanias gatve. The total area of Mūkupurva neighborhood has a population of 242, and its area 4,515 km2, which is only slightly less than the average area indicator of Riga neighborhoods. Currently, this neighborhood is a very underdeveloped area of Riga, but judging by its location and configuration, it can be created and function as a unified neighborhood in the future. Pārdaugava
Pārdaugava (literally means "Trans" or "Over" -Daugava area, formerly ) is an area most often associated with Riga, composed of several neighbourhoods on the west (left) bank of Daugava River. The name is literally translated as 'over Daugava'. In the late Soviet period (around 1990) in Riga appeared several sports teams with such name and previously were associated with the Soviet Daugava club (originally associated with Soviet Dynamo sports society). Those were football team FK Pārdaugava and hockey team Dinamo Riga (original). Zemgale
Semigallia is one of the Historical Latvian Lands located to the south of the Daugava and to the north of the Saule region of Samogitia. The territory is split between Latvia and Lithuania, previously inhabited by the Semigallian Baltic tribe. They are noted for their long resistance (1219–1290) against the German crusaders and Teutonic Knights during the Northern Crusades. Semigallians had close linguistic and cultural ties with Samogitians. Name The name of Semigallia appears in sources such as ''Seimgala'', ''Zimgola'' and ''Sem'' 'e'''gallen''.
