Māris Jučers
Māris Jučers (born June 18, 1987) is a Latvian professional ice hockey goaltender who is currently a free agent having last played for HK Liepāja of the Latvian Hockey Higher League. Between 2007 and 2011 Jučers played for the Latvian club Metalurgs Liepaja which participates in the Belarusian Extraleague. On July 19, 2011, it was announced that Māris has signed a 2-year two-way contract with Dinamo Riga. He participated at the 2012 IIHF World Championship and 2013 IIHF World Championship as a member of the Latvia men's national ice hockey team The Latvian men's national ice hockey team represents Latvia in international ice hockey. Priekule (; german: Preekuln) is a town in South Kurzeme Municipality in the Courland region of Latvia. As of 2020, the population was 1,872. Belarusian Extraleague
The Belarusian Extraleague (abbreviated BHL, also known as the Belarusian Open Championship), officially formed in 2006, is the top ice hockey league in Belarus. In its past, it has switched several times between being and not being an open league (in reference to allowing foreign teams), but for the 2008–2009 season, the Belarus Ice Hockey Federation decided to open the Belarusian Extraleague, the Belarusian Premier League and the Belarusian junior leagues. Before the season 2018-2019 the Belarusian Extraleague was divided in two leagues: Extraleague A with 8 teams and Extraleague B with 9 teams.
