Münci Kapani
Münci Kapani (1921–1993) was a Turkish academic, politician and writer. He is known for his studies on public law and political activities in the mid-1950s. Early life and education He was born Mehmet Münci in İzmir on 16 May 1921. He graduated from Galatasaray High School and received a degree in law from Ankara University. He completed his Ph.D. studies at the University of Geneva in 1948. Career and activities One year after his graduation Kapani joined his alma mater as a research assistant. He was promoted to associated professorship and worked as a visiting professor in the USA and in the United Kingdom. He left his academic career in 1956 and began to take part in politics becoming a member of the Liberty Party. He was involved in oppositional activities against the ruling Democrat Party (DP). Münci Kalayoğlu
Münci Kalayoğlu (7 May 1940 – 17 November 2024) was a Turkish doctor. Life and career Kalayoğlu was born in Ankara in 1940. In 1963 he graduated from Ankara University School of Medicine, after which he studied at Hacettepe University School of Medicine. He became an intern at the Mount Sinai Medical School in New York and Pittsburg Child Hospital. He was the founder and president of the Department of Liver Transplantation at the University of Wisconsin A university () is an institution of tertiary education and research which awards academic degrees in several academic disciplines. ''University'' is derived from the Latin phrase , which roughly means "community of teachers and scholars". Uni .... He made more than 1500 liver transplants throughout his career. He published 185 works, including 22 articles in international medical journals. From 2006 he was the head of a private hospital. Kalayoğlu died on 17 November 2024, at the age of 84.
