Mägdesprung
Mägdesprung is a village in the municipality of Harzgerode in the district of Harz. It nestles in the Harz Mountains at a height of 295 m. History There was a mill here below the ''Mägdetrappe'' until the Thirty Years' War. In 1646 an ironworks was built on the initiative of Frederick of Anhalt-Harzgerode that was not very successful to begin with, nevertheless it was considerably expanded in 1769. Until the second half of the 19th century the works proved very profitable in the field of decorative castings. Its furnace was finally closed in 1876. On 7 August 1887, a railway line from Gernrode to Mägdesprung was opened by the Gernrode-Harzgerode Railway Company (GHE), today the Harz Narrow Gauge Railways. On 18 April 1945 the pattern house (''Modellhaus'') of the factory fell victim to the fighting at the end of the Second World War. Harzgerode is a town in the district of Harz in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. Geography Harzgerode lies in the lower eastern part of the Harz mountain range on the Selke River, south of Quedlinburg. Gernrode-Harzgerode Railway Company
The Gernrode-Harzgerode Railway Company () or GHE was a private railway company in Germany that operated the Selke Valley Railway (the line from Gernrode via Hasselfelde and Alexisbad to Harzgerode and the line from Stiege to Eisfelder Talmühle). It had a junction with the network of the Nordhausen-Wernigerode Railway Company (NWE) at Eisfelder Talmühle station. History The Gernrode-Harzgerode Railway Company was founded on 10 May 1886 with the aim of developing the East Harz by means of a small scale railway line. After the experience of the Felda Railway in Thuringia it was decided on cost grounds that a concession would be granted in March 1887 for a line from Gernrode to Harzgerode and Silberhütte. River Selke
The Selke is a river of Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. It is a right-hand tributary of the Bode that starts in the Harz Mountains before breaking out onto the northeastern Harz Foreland. Eberhard Prüter
Eberhard Prüter (21 January 1945 – 28 October 2014) was a German actor and voice actor. Biography Prüter became known as a live action performer and voice actor on GDR television in the 1970s to 1980s. He then emigrated to West Berlin to pursue his career. As an actor, he appeared in films like ' and series like '' Didi's Comedy Show'', both starring Dieter Hallervorden. As a voice actor, Prüter was best known for the voice of Squidward Tentacles in the German dub of ''SpongeBob SquarePants''. He was also the German voice of James in ''Tabaluga'', Count Falko von Falkenstein in '' Bibi and Tina'', Zazu in ''The Lion King'' and replaced the late Friedrich W. Squidward Quincy Tentacles (, ) is a fictional character in Nickelodeon's animated television series ''SpongeBob SquarePants.'' Created and designed by marine biologist and animator Stephen Hillenburg, he is voiced by actor Rodger Bumpass.
