Mysore Road Satellite Bus Station
Mysuru Road Bus Station (MRBS), is one of the four major bus stations that serve as mofussil bus station hubs for the city of Bengaluru, India. It is located on Mysuru road. The other three major bus stations in Bengaluru are Kempegowda Bus Station (KBS), Shantinagara Bus Station (SBS) and Basaveshwara Bus Station (BBS). It is the second busiest mofussil bus station in Bengaluru only after Kempegowda Bus Station. It started functioning in 2005. Mysore Road
State Highway 17 (SH-17) is a state highway connecting the cities of Bangalore and Mysore in the south Indian state of Karnataka. The highway has a total length of . It was built and maintained by the Karnataka Road Development Corporation Limited and inaugurated in 2003. The highway passes through the towns of Ramanagara, Channapatna, Maddur, Mandya and Srirangapatna (Seringapattinam), before entering Mysore. The road is dual carriageway and passes over the Kaveri river. The 15 km stretch from Bangalore Central to Kengeri NICE Road Junction is known as Mysore Road. The Bangalore- Maddur section was upgraded under build-operate-transfer (Annuity) basis by a consortium of NCC Infra and Maytas Infra. ''Deccan Herald'' is an Indian English language daily newspaper published from the Indian state of Karnataka. It was founded by K. N. The town of Virajpet also spelled as Virajapete is the second town of the district of Kodagu (Coorg), in Karnataka. It is the main town of the ''Virajpet taluka'', south of the district, in the Kerala-Karnataka border. The name is an abbreviation of Virarajendrapete after the former ruler of Kodagu, Virarajendra. Madikeri is a hill station town in Madikeri taluk and headquarters of Kodagu district in Karnataka, India. Etymology Madikeri was known as ''Muddu Raja Keri'', which meant Mudduraja's town, was named after the prominent Haleri king Mudduraja who ruled Kodagu from 1633 to 1687. From 1834, during the British Raj, it was called ''Mercara''. It was later renamed to Madikeri by the Government of Mysore. History The history of Madikeri is related to the history of Kodagu. Kengeri
Kengeri is a suburb in Bangalore city. It is located on the western corridor along Mysore Road, bordered by Nagarbhavi to the north and Rajarajeshwari Nagar to the east. History The name Kengeri comes from the Kannada words Tengu coconut and Keri meaning place. The place is still surrounded by Coconut farms, most of them ruled by Vilperi the Coconut Baron. Jayanagar (officially Jayanagara) is a residential and commercial neighbourhood in Bangalore, India. It is one of the zones of Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike. It is sub-divided into seven wards.
