Myshelovka
''Myshelovka'' (, ''Mousetrap'') is the third studio album by Soviet/Russian punk band Grazhdanskaya Oborona. The album was released in 1987 and was recorded only by Yegor Letov in Omsk. It was the first album from the 1987 album series (with ''Khorosho!!'', ''Totalitarizm'', ''Nekrofiliya'' and ''Krasny albom''). Background Letov was released from the mental ward in March 1986 and immediately began to write and record music. In 1987 he played a set with his friends from Pik Klakson band Evgeny and Oleg Lischenko under the name Adolf Hitler. When Letov returned home, he found out the authorities were going to put him to a mental ward again. Then Letov took an attempt to record all his songs on tape for three months (from May to July). He recorded new album on his own, and while he credited other musicians, his collaborators went under pseudonyms as Letov, because the original members of GrOb were forced to sign sworn statements saying that they would stay away from Letov. Yegor Letov
Igor "Yegor" Fyodorovich Letov (, ; (10 September 1964 – 19 February 2008) was a Russian singer-songwriter, best known as the founder and leader of the post-punk/psychedelic rock band Grazhdanskaya Oborona (), as well as the founder of the conceptual art avant-garde project Kommunizm and psychedelic rock outfit Egor i Opizdenevshie. Letov collaborated with singer-songwriter Yanka Dyagileva and other Siberian underground artists as a record engineer and producer. Letov was one of the key figures of the Siberian punk scene. Posthumously, Letov has been called the "father" and "patriarch" of Russian punk rock, a "musical legend", and one of the most influential figures of the punk movement in Russia. Grazhdanskaya Oborona (Russian: Гражданская оборона, , Russian for ''Civil Defense'', or ГО, often referred to as ГрОб, Russian for ''coffin'') was a Soviet-Russian rock band formed by Yegor Letov and Konstantin Ryabinov in Omsk, USSR, in 1984. ''Optimizm'' (, ''Optimism'') is the second studio album by Soviet/Russian punk band Grazhdanskaya Oborona. The album was released in 1985 and was recorded concurrently with its follow-up '' Poganaya molodyozh'''. The original versions of ''Poganaya molodezh'' and ''Optimizm'' were recorded in 1984 with Yegor Letov and Konstantin Ryabinov (Kuzya UO, ''Кузя УО'') and intended to be a Posev album. According to Letov, the two albums represented two parts of one big release and published together on a single tape. This tape was produced under the title "Grazhdanskaya Oborona" or "GO-85". The album was recorded in 1984/1985, but was re-recorded in 1988 by E. Letov and Kuzya Uo. Participants in the recording of the album in 1985 was Andrey Babenko (Boss), Oleg Ivanovsky and Valery Rozhkov, who played the flute in the song "Optimizm". Mastering is a form of audio post production which is the process of preparing and transferring recorded audio from a source containing the final mix to a data storage device called a master recording, the source from which all copies will be produced (via methods such as pressing, duplication or replication). In recent years, digital masters have become usual, although analog masters—such as audio tapes—are still being used by the manufacturing industry, particularly by a few engineers who specialize in analog mastering. Reggae
Reggae () is a music genre that originated in Jamaica during the late 1960s. The term also denotes the modern popular music of Jamaica and its Jamaican diaspora, diaspora.
