Myroslav Dumanskyi
Myroslav Dumanskyi (, 17 June 1929 – 1 April 1996) was a Soviet, and later Ukrainian, football player and coach. Born in Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, Ukrainian SSR, he played for numerous Soviet teams, until his retirement as a player in 1963. From then he became a coach, first in the Soviet leagues, and then in the independent Ukrainian league; he continued to coach until his death in 1996. Myroslav Ivan Lubachivsky (; 24 June 1914 – 14 December 2000), cardinal, was bishop of the Ukrainian Catholic Archeparchy of Philadelphia in the United States and from 1984 major archbishop of Lviv and head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church (UGCC). Life He was ordained a priest of the Archeparchy of Lviv in 1938 by Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytsky and then continued his doctoral studies in theology in Austria. After World War II, he was unable to return to Ukraine and emigrated to the United States, where he continued his pastoral work, first as a priest at St. Peter and Paul Church in Cleveland, Ohio, beginning in 1949, and then from 1968 as a teacher at the St. Josaphat Ukrainian Catholic Seminary in Washington. He also taught at St. Basil's College in Philadelphia and St. Basil's Academy in Stamford, Connecticut before being consecrated archbishop of Philadelphia in 1979. Myroslav Frankovych Marynovych (; born 4 January 1949) is a Ukrainian educator, human rights activist, and former Soviet dissident, and longtime vice-rector of the Ukrainian Catholic University in Lviv. The co-founder of Amnesty International Ukraine, Marynovych was a founding member of the Ukrainian Helsinki Group. Early life Marynovych was born on 4 January 1949, in the village of Komarovychi of Staryi Sambir Raion of Drohobych Oblast (now Lviv Oblast). His grandfather was a priest of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church and his family was very religious. In Drohobych he attended high school, from which he graduated with a gold medal. Myroslav Mykhailovych Skoryk (; 13 July 1938 – 1 June 2020) was a List of Ukrainian composers, Ukrainian composer and teacher. His music is contemporary in style and contains stylistic traits from Ukrainian folk music traditions. Skoryk was awarded the titles People's Artist of Ukraine and Hero of Ukraine. Early life Myroslav Mykhailovych Skoryk was born in Lviv, on 13 July 1938. His parents were both educated in Austria at the University of Vienna, and subsequently became teachers. His father was a historian and an ethnographer, while his mother was a chemist. Although his parents did not have special musical training, his mother played piano and his father played the violin. Myroslav Dmytrovych "Miro" Slavov (; born 8 September 1990) is a Ukrainian football forward who plays for Austrian club SC Maria Lanzendorf. Myroslaw Stechishin (, July 24, 1883 – November 18, 1947) was a Ukrainian-Canadian editor, political activist, and public figure. After immigrating from Galicia to Canada in 1902, Stechishin worked as a labourer and was socialist activist. Later, he became greatly involved in the Ukrainian community of Winnipeg, Manitoba. Stechishin served as editor for newspapers including ''Robochyi narod'' (Winnipeg), ''Novyny'' (Edmonton), ''Narodna volia'' (Scranton), and most notably ''Ukraïns’kyi holos'' (Winnipeg). Myroslav Ivanovych Stupar (; ; born August 27, 1941) is a Ukrainian retired footballer and football referee. Career As a player, he was a goalkeeper and played for Spartak Stanislav / Ivano-Frankivsk, FC Volyn Lutsk, Dinamo Khmelnytskyi, also for the FC Dynamo Kyiv reserves. As a referee he officiated at about 150 matches of the Soviet Top League. Stupar twice refereed Soviet Cup finals (1979, 1981). He appeared 7 times in the Soviet annual best referees list.
