Mylo Xyloto
''Mylo Xyloto'' (pronounced ) is the fifth studio album by British Rock music, rock band Coldplay. It was released on 19 October 2011 in Japan and on 24 October 2011 in the rest of the world. The band worked closely with producer Brian Eno following their successful collaboration on ''Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends'' (2008), the band's previous album. ''Mylo Xyloto'' is the band's first concept album, and it also is a thematic rock opera. The album tells the story of a war against sound and colour on the planet Silencia, which has been overtaken by a totalitarian government led by Major Minus, who controls the population through media and propaganda. His aim is to take sound and colour off the streets in hope to draw away "feeders", creatures that use such energy to hunt its prey. Live 2012 (Coldplay Album)
''Live 2012'' is the collective name for the official documentation of the Mylo Xyloto Tour, performed, recorded and released by British alternative rock band Coldplay. The project consists of a worldwide theatrical and home media film release, Coldplay's third live album, after '' Live 2003'' and ''LeftRightLeftRightLeft'', and a 183-page e-book depicting the tour. The film and album were recorded over many dates over their 2011 festival dates and the Mylo Xyloto Tour, which began in December 2011 and concluded in September 2012. Will Champion
William Champion (born 31 July 1978) is an English musician and songwriter. He is best known as the drummer and percussionist of the Rock music, rock band Coldplay. Raised in Southampton, he learned to play numerous instruments during his youth, being influenced by Nick Cave, Bob Dylan, Tom Waits and Music of Ireland#Traditional music, traditional Irish folk music. His energetic drumming style is largely focused on the essential elements of the songs and he occasionally takes lead vocal duties on live performances. Champion has a 2:1 degree in anthropology from University College London, where he completed Coldplay's line-up with Chris Martin, Jonny Buckland and Guy Berryman.
