Mykola Petrovych Mozghovyi (1 September 194730 July 2010) was a Ukrainian and Soviet composer, producer, and songwriter. He was born in Sarniv, Volochysk Raion, Khmelnytskyi Oblast, Ukraine. Mozhovyy's major success was the song "Kray, miy ridniy kray", written for Sofia Rotaru and produced by Melodiya. Volochysk Raion
Volochysk Raion () was a raion (administrative district) of Khmelnytskyi Oblast. Its area was 1,103 square kilometres, and the administrative center was Volochysk. The raion was abolished on 18 July 2020 as part of the administrative reform of Ukraine, which reduced the number of raions of Khmelnytskyi Oblast to three. The area of Volochysk Raion was merged into Khmelnytskyi Raion. The last estimate of the raion population was Geography Volochysk Raion was south of Teofipol Raion, west of Krasyliv Raion and Khmelnytskyi, north of Horodok Raion, and east of Ternopil Oblast. RIA Novosti (), sometimes referred to as RIAN () or RIA (), is a Russian state-owned domestic news agency. National Palace of Arts Ukraina () or Palace Ukraina () is one of the main theatre venues for official events along with Palace of Sports in Kyiv, Ukraine. The venue is a state company administered by the State Directory of Affairs. The main concert hall has a capacity of 3,714 people. History It was opened in April 1970 as the biggest center of culture and arts. The building was primarily intended to serve as a venue for party congresses and events of the Communist Party of Ukraine, and secondarily as a concert hall. Melodiya () is a Russian record label. It was the state-owned major record company of the Soviet Union. History Melodiya was established in 1964 as the "All-Union Gramophone Record Firm of the USSR Ministry of Culture Melodiya" in accordance with a resolution issued by the Council of Ministers of the Soviet Union. Sofiia Mykhailivna Yevdokymenko-Rotaru ( ; ; ; born 7 August 1947), known simply as Sofia Rotaru, is a Ukrainian pop singer of Romanian origin. Rotaru, nicknamed "Bukovinsky Solovey" ("the Nightingale from Bukovina"), emerged in 1966 as a pop folk star in the movie '' Solovei iz sela Marshyntsi'' (Nightingale from Marshyntsi) in the Romanian and Moldovian-speaking world after her manager and future husband Anatoliy Yevdokymenko made her change her music style from folk to pop music with Chervona Ruta. "Kray, miy ridniy kray" (, English: My homeland, my native homeland) is a song originally recorded by Sofia Rotaru for her 1981 album '' Sofia Rotaru and Chervona Ruta''. Description According to the Ukrainian and Russian press, the song became a major hit in 1979, the year of its first performance. It was first performed on 10 November 1979 at concert commemorated to the Day of Soviet Militsiya at Pillar Hall of the House of the Unions in Moscow. It was the second such achievement for a Ukrainian song within the former USSR and internationally, after the song " Chervona Ruta". The lyrics and the music were composed by Mykola Mozghovyi. The song remains popular today with numerous recorded cover versions, namely by Ani Lorak and Taisia Povaliy.
