Mykhailo Volobuiev
Mykhailo Symonovych Volobuiev (11 (24) January 1903, Mykolaiv — 20 June 1972, Rostov-on-Don) was a Ukrainian economist of the 1930s. He was a researcher at the Research Institute of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences in Kharkiv and a major contributing thinker and advocate for the economic self-sufficiency of the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic. Biography Mykhailo Volobuiev was born in Mykolaiv. He studied at the gymnasium and graduated from the economics department of the University of Kharkiv. From 1921 to 1922, he worked as deputy head of the Mykolayiv Provincial Department of Education, and in 1922 as deputy head of the Vinnytsia Department. From 1923, he worked in Kharkiv at the Central Administration for Political Education and taught at the Kharkiv Pharmaceutical Technical School, the Kharkiv Institute of People's Education, and the Financial and Economic Technical School. Mykolaiv
Mykolaiv ( ), also known as Nikolaev ( ) is a List of cities in Ukraine, city and a hromada (municipality) in southern Ukraine. Mykolaiv is the Administrative centre, administrative center of Mykolaiv Raion (Raions of Ukraine, district) and Mykolaiv Oblast (Oblasts of Ukraine, province). The city of Mykolaiv, which provides Ukraine with access to the Black Sea, is the location of the most downriver bridge crossing of the Southern Bug river. This city is one of the main shipbuilding centers of the Black Sea. Aside from three shipyards within the city, there are a number of research centers specializing in shipbuilding such as the State Research and Design Shipbuilding Center, Zoria-Mashproekt and others.
