Myasozharivka (; ; until 2016 Artemivka (''Артемівка'')) is a village in Svatove Raion, Luhansk Oblast eastern Ukraine. It is located northwest ( NW) of the centre of Luhansk city. It belongs to Kolomyichykha rural hromada. History The village was founded in 1953 under the original name of Artemivka. In 2016, the name of the village was decommunised and renamed Myasozharivka. During the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, the village was captured by Russian Forces. Decommunization In Ukraine
Decommunization in Ukraine started during and after the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991. With the success of the Revolution of Dignity in 2014, the Ukrainian government approved laws that outlawed communist symbols. On 15 May 2015, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko signed a set of laws that started a six-month period for the removal of communist monuments (excluding World War II monuments) and renaming of public places named after communist-related themes. At the time, this meant that 22 cities and 44 villages were set to get new names. Until 21 November 2015, municipal governments had the authority to implement this; if they failed to do so, the Oblasts of Ukraine had until 21 May 2016 to change the names. Kreminna (; ) is a city in the Sievierodonetsk Raion of the Luhansk Oblast of Ukraine. Prior to 2020, it served as the administrative center of the former Kreminna Raion. Synkivka
Synkivka (, ) is a village in Kupiansk Raion, Kharkiv Oblast, Ukraine. During the first days of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the village was captured by Russian forces in their initial advance into the nation. After the successful 2022 Ukrainian eastern counteroffensive in September, however, the village returned to Ukrainian control. On 16 February 2023, Russian forces reportedly entered the village Lyman Pershyi to the north, making Synkivka a frontline settlement. Since then, three local Russian offensives aimed at recapturing the village took place in August, November, and December 2023. Each of the assaults have been unsuccessful, however, consistent shelling has rendered the village void of civilians as of September 2023. In September 2024, Russia managed to recapture the village. Kupiansk ( uk, Куп'янськ, ) is a city in Kharkiv Oblast, Ukraine. It serves as the administrative center of Kupiansk Raion. It is also an important railroad junction for the oblast. Kupiansk hosts the administrative offices of Kupiansk Urban Hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine.
