It was produced by Ralph Burns, and features the singles, "What Kind of Fool Am I?", "Too Good" and his most successful " My Love, Forgive Me". The album debuted on the ''Billboard'' Top LPs chart in the issue dated December 26, 1964, and remained on the chart for 29 weeks, peaking at number five, his highest position had achieved on that chart. Robert Goulet
Robert Gérard Goulet (November 26, 1933 October 30, 2007) was an American‐Canadian singer and actor of French-Canadian ancestry. Goulet was born and raised in Lawrence, Massachusetts, until age 13, and then spent his formative years in Canada. Cast as Sir Lancelot and originating the role in the 1960 Broadway musical '' Camelot'' starring opposite established Broadway stars Richard Burton and Julie Andrews, he achieved instant recognition with his performance and interpretation of the song "If Ever I Would Leave You", which became his signature song. His debut in ''Camelot'' marked the beginning of a stage, screen, and recording career. A Grammy Award winner, his career spanned almost six decades. Harold David Shaper (18 July 1931 – 8 January 2004), known as Hal Shaper, was a South African songwriter. After qualifying as a lawyer in 1955, he travelled to London to begin his five-decade-long musical career during which he worked with and wrote for well-known artists including Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, Barbra Streisand and David Bowie. Giorgio Calabrese (28 November 1929 – 31 March 2016) was an Italian songwriter and frequent collaborator with French Popular music, pop music star Charles Aznavour. "Softly, as I Leave You" is a popular Italian song, originally titled ''Piano'', composed by Tony De Vita with Italian lyrics by Giorgio Calabrese, and English lyrics by Hal Shaper. Background It was originally an Italian success by Mina, entitled "Piano" ("Softly"). Mina published a recording of the song first as a single in 1960 and later on an EP and on three LPs. "Corcovado" (known in English as "Quiet Nights of Quiet Stars") is a bossa nova song and jazz standard written by Antônio Carlos Jobim in 1960. English lyrics were later written by Gene Lees. The Portuguese title refers to the Corcovado mountain in Rio de Janeiro. Tony Bennett recorded the first popular English cover of "Quiet Nights" with new lyrics by Buddy Kaye in 1963.
