''My Favourite Cake'' (Persian: کیک محبوب من, translit. ''Keyk-e mahbub-e man'') is a 2024 tragicomedy and romantic drama film co-written and directed by Maryam Moghaddam and Behtash Sanaeeha, and starring Lily Farhadpour and Esmail Mehrabi. The film tells the story of a woman who decides to live out her desires in a country where women's rights are heavily restricted. The international co-production between Iran, France, Sweden, and Germany had its world premiere on 16 February 2024 at the main competition for the Golden Bear at the 74th Berlin International Film Festival. The filmmakers were issued travel bans during post-production, and prohibited from attending the premiere in Berlin, by the Iranian Government. Maryam Moghaddam
Maryam Moghaddam (; born 1969 or 1970), also spelt Moghadam and Moqadam, is an Iranian actress, screenwriter, and director, known for her collaborations with her husband Behtash Sanaeeha. She is best known for her acting in ''Closed Curtain'' (2013) and ''Risk of Acid Rain'' (2015) (which she also co-wrote), and co-writing and directing ''Ballad of a White Cow'' (2020). The couple's most recent collaboration is ''My Favourite Cake'', which had its world premiere on 16 February 2024 at the 74th Berlin International Film Festival.
