My Chemical Romance
My Chemical Romance is an American Rock music, rock band from New Jersey. The band's current lineup consists of lead vocalist Gerard Way, lead guitarist Ray Toro, rhythm guitarist Frank Iero, and bassist Mikey Way. They are considered one of the most influential rock groups of the 2000s in music, 2000s and a major act in the emo and pop-punk genres, despite the band rejecting the former label. Formed in September 2001 by Gerard, Mikey, Toro, and drummer Matt Pelissier (and later joined by Iero), the band signed with Eyeball Records and released their debut album, ''I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love'', in 2002. They signed with Reprise Records the next year and released their major-label debut, ''Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge'', in 2004. ''Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge'' (often shortened to ''Three Cheers'' or ''Revenge'') is the second studio album by American Rock music, rock band My Chemical Romance, released on June 8, 2004, by Reprise Records. With this album, the band produced a more polished sound than that of their 2002 debut ''I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love''. James Dewees
James Matthew Dewees (born March 13, 1976) is an American musician best known for his work with The Get Up Kids, Reggie and the Full Effect and My Chemical Romance. He has also been involved in other musical projects including New Found Glory, Coalesce, Leathermouth, and Death Spells. History Early life and Coalesce Dewees graduated from Liberty High School in Liberty, Missouri in 1994. He started college at William Jewell College in Liberty later transferring to the University of Missouri to study music composition. In 1995, he was asked to replace Sean Ingram as vocalist for the Kansas City hardcore band Coalesce. This angered Ingram, and caused a fight that eventually broke the band up. However, in the summer of 1996, the band decided to re-form, but this time with James Dewees as a drummer. Bob Bryar
Robert Cory Bryar (December 31, 1979 – November 24, 2024) was an American musician and sound engineer best known as the drummer of American rock band My Chemical Romance. He was the longest-tenured and last official drummer in the band, performing in the rock group from 2004 until his departure in 2010. Bryar joined My Chemical Romance shortly after the release of the band's second studio album ''Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge'' in 2004, replacing former drummer Matt Pelissier. He performed on all of the subsequent releases in support of the album, as well as the band's commercially successful concept album, '' The Black Parade'' (2006). Death Spells was an American digital hardcore band formed in 2012. The group was composed of My Chemical Romance rhythm guitarist Frank Iero and keyboardist James Dewees (also of The Get Up Kids and Reggie and the Full Effect), both of whom were also previously members of hardcore punk band Leathermouth. History Frank Iero and James Dewees were sharing an apartment in North Hollywood, Los Angeles in 2012 while My Chemical Romance was writing and recording in studio. The project originally came to fruition when Iero and Dewees snuck equipment out of the studio so they could mess around with it and were "trying to blow up each other's speakers." The seediness of the area they were located in was a huge influence to the music, with the pair aiming to get "as grimly as humanely possible" without getting kicked out of the apartment.
