Trevor Mwamba
Musonda Trevor Selwyn Mwamba (born 1958), known as Trevor Mwamba, is an Anglican bishop. He was consecrated Bishop of Botswana on 6 February 2005. He tendered his resignation as Bishop of Botswana on 30 September 2012 – the day on which Botswana marks the anniversary of its independence from Britain. His successor was consecrated on 14 July 2013. On 4 April 2021, he was elected President of the United National Independence Party in Zambia. He took up the post of Team Rector of Barking in the Church of England on 1 January 2014, a post he resigned in December 2019. On 9 November 2013 he was made an honorary assistant bishop in the Diocese of Chelmsford. Rémy Mwamba
Rémy Mwamba (1921–1967) was a Congolese politician who twice served as Minister of Justice of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (then Republic of the Congo). He was also a leading figure of the Association Générale des Baluba du Katanga (BALUBAKAT). Mwamba was born in 1921 in Vunga, Belgian Congo to a Luba family. After completing his education he took up work at the Élisabethville Parquet. He later co-founded and became secretary-general of BALUBAKAT. He served in the Collége Exécutive Général transitional government before being elected a senator of the newly independent Republic of the Congo in 1960. Mwamba was subsequently appointed to serve as Minister of Justice in the first government under Prime Minister Patrice Lumumba. On 5 September he and Lumumba were dismissed by the President. Bertin Mwamba
Bertin Mwamba or Mwamba Maleba Banze Kabombo (born 25 September 1932) is a Congolese politician who served as the third President of the Chamber of Deputies of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Early life Bertin Mwamba was born on 25 September 1932 in Songa, Belgian Congo into a Luba family. He received three years of secondary education at the Ecole des Moniteurs. He worked as a teacher from 1953 until 1957, when he became a chartered accountant, holding the latter job until 1960. Mwamba participated in the economic portion of the Belgo-Congolese Round Table Conference in Brussels from April to May 1960. Lieutenant Christopher Mwamba Luchembe (born 1960) is a former Zambia Army Lieutenant who staged the 1990 Zambian coup d'état attempt during the one-party state era of Zambian President Kenneth Kaunda in 1990. His action came amidst widespread calls for multiparty democracy. On July 1, 1990 Luchembe announced in the radio studios of the Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation (ZNBC) that the Zambia Army had taken over the government and he cited riots of the previous week as reasons for his action; about 27 people had died in the riots, while more than 100 were wounded. Kazadi Mwamba
Robert Kazadi Mwamba (6 March 1947 – 1998) was a goalkeeper who played for TP Mazembe and Zaire. Career Mwamba played for DR Congo giants TP Mazembe and the Zaire national team (now DR Congo). He was named the Player of the Tournament when Congo won the 1968 African Cup of Nations and followed this up with another victory in the 1974 African Cup of Nations where he was named to the Team of the Tournament. At the 1974 FIFA World Cup, in a group game involving the Leopards and Yugoslavia, Kazadi conceded three goals in the first 20 minutes and was substituted by his Yugoslavian coach, Blagoje Vidinić.
