Mutilate Me
''Mutliate Me'' is an EP by Teenage Bottlerocket. It was released on April 12, 2011 on Fat Wreck Chords and recorded at The Blasting Room with Andrew Berlin. "Henchman", a Bad Religion cover, was recorded on August 30, 2010 with the intent of appearing on '' Germs of Perfection'', a Bad Religion tribute put together by Spin Magazine, but it was not included on that compilation. The other two songs, "Mutilate Me" and "Punk House of Horror", were recorded on January 2, 2011 and were re-released on the band's next album ''Freak Out!''. It was released on vinyl in three versions: black and red vinyl, each with red lettering on the cover, and blue vinyl with blue lettering. Teenage Bottlerocket
Teenage Bottlerocket is an American rock band formed in Laramie, Wyoming in 2000. The rock band was formed by twin brothers Ray and Brandon Carlisle, following the dissolution of their previous band, Homeless Wonders. The band's music is heavily influenced by guitarist and co-vocalist Kody Templeman's other band, The Lillingtons, and punk rock acts such as Ramones, Screeching Weasel, Green Day, The Bouncing Souls, and Misfits; Their music has been referred to as "Ramones-core", "Weasel-core" and "leather jacket punk". Fat Wreck Chords (pronounced "Fat Records") is an independent record label based in San Francisco focused on punk rock. It was started by NOFX lead singer Michael Burkett (better known as Fat Mike) and his wife at the time, Erin Burkett in 1990. As of 2009, Fat Wreck Chords has released over 300 studio albums. History Fat Mike started his record label Wassail Records in 1987. He put out two NOFX records, The PMRC 7” in 1987 and Liberal Animation in 1988. ''Freak Out!'' is the fifth album by Teenage Bottlerocket. It was released on July 3, 2012 on Fat Wreck Chords. The band began work on the album in February 2012 at The Blasting Room with engineer Andrew Berlin, who also co-produced the album with the band, and finished in April. Two of the songs, "Mutilate Me" and "Punk House of Horror", were previously released on the 2011 "'Mutilate Me" EP. The Blasting Room
The Blasting Room is a recording studio in Fort Collins, Colorado. Founded by members of the punk rock band All in 1994, it is owned and operated by musician Bill Stevenson ( Descendents, Black Flag, All, Only Crime) and Jason Livermore. The studio is known for recording and producing many punk rock bands, with Stevenson and Livermore serving as in-house audio engineers and record producers.
