Mustafa Armağan
Mustafa Armağan (born 24 February 1961) is a Turkish Islamist writer and conspiracy theorist. He is known for his historical revisionist publications on the Ottoman Empire and the early years of the Turkish Republic. Life He was born in Cizre on February 24, 1961, to parents from Şanlıurfa. He completed his primary and secondary education in Bursa. After graduating from Istanbul University's Faculty of Letters, Department of Turkish Language and Literature in 1985, Armağan worked as an editor in various publishing houses. He was the editor-in-chief of İzlenim magazine between 1995 and 1996. He was the publication coordinator of the Social Sciences Encyclopedia (Risale Publications, 4 volumes) and the Ottoman Encyclopedia (Ağaç Yayıncılık, 7 volumes). He prepared M. M. Cizre
Cizre () is a city in the Cizre District of Şırnak Province in Turkey. It is located on the river Tigris by the Syria–Turkey border and close to the Iraq–Turkey border. Cizre is in the historical region of Upper Mesopotamia and the cultural region of Turkish Kurdistan. The city had a population of 130,916 in 2021. It is predominantly inhabited by Kurds. Cizre was founded as Jazirat Ibn ʿUmar in the 9th century by Taghlib#Abbasid period, Al-Hasan ibn Umar, List of rulers of Mosul, Emir of Mosul, on a manmade island in the Tigris. The city benefited from its situation as a river crossing and port in addition to its position at the end of an old Roman road which connected it to the Mediterranean Sea, and thus became an important commercial and strategic centre in Upper Mesopotamia. OdaTV
OdaTV ''(also known as Odatv.com, Odatv or odaTV),'' an online news portal based in Turkey, was founded in 2007. It is one of the most followed news portals in Turkey and according to the Alexa statistics, it is the 119th most visited website in the country (Turkey). The portal was founded by Soner Yalçın and Cüneyt Özdemir. Özdemir soon left after a difference of opinion. OdaTV was described in 2012 by the Committee to Protect Journalists as a portal which is "harshly critical of the government". In the early 2011, Odatv case was initiated as part of the Ergenekon trials, with OdaTV accused of being the "media arm" of the Ergenekon organization. Twelve of its journalists were under indictment in connection with the case, which Reporters without Borders has called "absurd". The court acquitted all journalists in April 2017 after the prosecutors failed to provide enough evidence.
