Choi Dong-wook (; born November 9, 1984), better known by his stage name Seven (; stylized as Se7en), is a South Korean singer, who has also advanced into Japan, China and the United States. Career 2003–2004: Debut with ''Just Listen'', best new artist awards, and ''Must Listen'' Seven began training under the management agency YG Entertainment at the age of fifteen. After four years of training in singing and dancing, he made his debut in 2003 with the album '' Just Listen'', released on March 8. Later that year, he received best new artist awards at the Golden Disc Awards, MBC Gayo Daejejeon, Mnet Music Video Festival, SBS Gayo Daejeon, and Seoul Music Awards. Seoul Broadcasting System (SBS) () is one of the leading South Korean television and radio broadcasters. The broadcaster legally became known as SBS in March 2000, changing its corporate name from Seoul Broadcasting System (서울방송). List Of Number-one Albums In South Korea (1998–2008)
Between August 1998 and September 2008, the Recording Industry Association of Korea (RIAK) and the Music Industry Association of Korea (MIAK) published a monthly record chart, ranking the best-selling CDs and cassettes within South Korea. At least 100 albums and two singles have topped the chart during the course of its existence. In early 1998, South Korea's National Tax Service decided that the music industry should be more transparent. The Korean Video Record Association decided in a meeting held on July 23, 1998, that record sales should be tracked and released on a monthly basis. The record labels had to submit the sales of an album up to six months after its release. The data had to be submitted until the 7th of every month and was released by the RIAK on the 10th. M Countdown
''M Countdown'' () is a South Korean music program broadcast by Mnet. The show features appearances by popular music artists who also perform live on stage. It is broadcast from CJ E&M Center Studio in Sangam-dong, Mapo District, Seoul. Broadcast ''M Countdown'' airs live on domestic television at 6PM KST every Thursday. Live streaming is available internationally via the ''M Countdown On Air'' page on Mwave's website. In the Philippines, online multi-view live broadcast of the show is available via gigafest.smart. It began airing on the free-to-air TV5 network from January 31, 2021, however due to low ratings on the network, it will conclude on March 6, 2022. Mnet (acronym of Music Network) is a South Korean pay television music channel owned by CJ E&M, a division of CJ ENM, part of CJ Group. ''Inkigayo'' ( ko, 인기가요; English title: ''The Music Trend'', previously ''Popular Song'') is a South Korean music program broadcast by SBS. It airs live every Sunday. The show features some of the latest and most popular artists who perform on stage. It is broadcast from the SBS Open Hall in Deungchon-dong, Gangseo-gu, Seoul. The 2004 Mnet KM Music Video Festival (MKMF) was the sixth of the annual music awards in Seoul, South Korea, that took place on December 4, 2004, at the Kyung Hee University. Solo artists Rain and BoA lead the nominees with three nominations each. Although each of them received the daesang awards, boyband Shinhwa was the only artist/group to receive two awards by the end of the ceremony.
