Candy Lo Hau-yam is a Canto-rock singer-songwriter and film actress from Hong Kong. Formerly the lead vocalist of the band Black and Blue, Lo launched her solo career in 1998 and is best known for the singles, "Trash" () and "Please Break Up" (). Career 1995-1996: Black & Blue Prior to going solo, Lo was the lead vocalist in the Hong Kong indie rock band Black & Blue. Cantopop (a contraction of "Cantonese pop music") is a genre of pop music sung in Cantonese. Cantopop is also used to refer to the cultural context of its production and consumption. The genre began in the 1970s and became associated with Hong Kong popular music from the middle of the decade. Kubert Leung () is a musician and Cantopop songwriter in Hong Kong. In the 1980s he set up two Cantopop bands, Life Exhibition and Ukiyo-e (浮世繪).
